Our family of six adults enjoyed our four night stay at Thon Hotel Terminus. Five minute walk from the central train station. Front desk staff courteous and professional. Room was clean and comfortable. Included breakfast was excellent and saved us a small fortune eating out. The gym is small but had all of the equipment we needed. The hotel is a little dated but a great value for the money. It’s across from a shopping mall that has a grocery store in the basement which helped us cut down on the pricey restaurant food in Oslo.

Hotel Thon Terminus is a great value option in central Oslo. Excellent location near main train station. I’d classify it as a 3.5 star hotel. It’s a little dated but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Included buffet breakfast is great, and the gym has all you’ll need for a quick workout. Location is convenient to all major attractions. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Right across the street from a mall that has a grocery store on the lower floor. 2 for 1 pastas at Haus di Gusto on Tuesdays. No Name Bar has 2 for 1 glasses of wine, beer and Aperol Spritz all the time. Get an Oslo Pass to save on entrance to museums and transit. Oslo is very expensive but well worth a three or four day visit.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. I loved it both times. Fantastic breakfast with a huge variety for anyone, great location, clean, helpful and friendly staff. I came straight after a transatlantic flight that landed in the morning, and even though it was only 10 am they had a room available! You are across the street from a mall (Oslo City) and in the lower level there are a few cheap restaurants and a grocery store (Meny) that also has a hot bar, sushi, and prepared sandwiches. Norway is not cheap, this is great to have nearby!

Wasn't informed upon check-in that the room needs to be locked when leaving each time, definitely something worth knowing.
