You won’t regret staying at this gem.

Martius is a beautiful, intimate, well-run hotel located in a central but not overwhelming part of Rome. The suite was a gorgeous juxtaposition of the ancient ceiling/nod to the building's roots, combined with modern Italian design and amenities. The room was kept immaculate despite an abundance of luggage from a 3-week journey. The staff were absolutely exceptional. They directed us to excellent eateries, procured transportation for us that included a 3 am pickup for our flight home, and even got us an appointment with an ENT specialist when I had an earache. Martius will continue to be our choice for when we are in Rome.

We booked a deluxe suite and the room has a very strange smell coming from the bathroom. We asked to be switched to a different room and they provided one the following day. Overall it was a good hotel, very central, the bed was comfortable, but the water temperature in the shower was hit or miss.
