One of the two rooms I reserved, was in fact not reserved! We drove hours to be told that we only had one room. (This could be Hotel.com doing, I don’t know!) I showed the confirmation email, the person at the counter, shrugged and basically said, ‘oh well’. So we reserved another room, double the rate! Then we go to the rooms, first the building smelled terrible the bathroom wasn’t at all clean and when we got to the bedroom areas, pieces of the ceiling had fallen all over the floor. The previous days rain caused awful water damage! The person at the front counter informed us they didn’t have any other rooms at that rate available. I told her, the rate and water are not our problem. Set me up with another room, at the hotel’s expense! She said they were ‘sold out’. The parking lot was nearly empty!! It’s now 7, two hours after we arrived, no manager available and we’re getting nowhere with this person. Finally (!!) the person called the whomever was authorized, and eventually got us into a room. What an awful experience!!!
