The entire property was exceptionally clean, and the accommodations were highly comfortable, ensuring a very pleasant and restful night. While it operates differently than a conventional commercial hotel, it provides fantastic, functional accommodations that offer great value for money. All in all, it was a seamless and very nice stay. We will definitely visit again when traveling through the area. Highly recommended.

Good location and parking. Comfortable room but bathroom did have a smell of drains on entering. ( some areas of the town also had a drains smell ) Worth getting to whilst the reception is staffed. Adequate breakfast. Vending machines in lobby for when restaurant closed.

A very quiet hotel and a comfortable room, although quite basic and missing an electric kettle. We stayed here during a road trip in Germany and it was very useful for exploring the Black Forrest and Baden-Baden. The parking was free and plentiful and we had an overall positive experience. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Luckily they spoke English as we don’t speak German. The room was well proportioned and clean. It was a bonus that we could have our evening meal at the hotel, as we’d been on the road for most of the day and were tired. I would happily recommend this hotel to others and if we were in the area again, would stay at Bildungshaus St Bernard

I did not realize I was booking a hostel when I booked. It was also not clear to me that this was a hotel with a religious element; though I didn't mind necessarily, it would have been helpful to know. I will say it was clean and tge staff seemed nice and ploite and helpful. I was given a room in the very top of the hotel at the end of a dark hallway. As a solo female traveler, I felt uncomfortable being relegated so far from everyone else who was staying there. The window was situated high up with a ladder (!) if i wanted to open windows; therefore I could not see outside. It was also very stuffy and hot. I was expecting simple, but somewhat better than this. The bathroom was extremely hot and the fan ran constantly. In retrospect, I should have requested a room change.

Extremely well kept place. Not your traditional corporate-run accommodation however. Unconventional operating hours as well (check-in 13h00 to 19h00, check-out 9h30). Really appreciated the “spiritual” feeling of the place.

Het gebouw is al een mooi bouwwerk. Schone kamer, wifi is oké. Op kleine afstand is een pizzeria. We moesten hierom wel vragen waar we nog wat konden eten. Misschien bij aankomst erbij vertellen. Het ontbijt was echt niet normaal, alles was er te krijgen. Al met al een geslaagde overnachting!! Voor herhaling vatbaar op weg naar Zwitserland of Italië.
