The room and bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean. Exactly what you'd expect from a country pub. Nothing flash, but good value for money. Light sleepers will need ear plugs. The tables in the dining area were disgusting. I moved tables three times because of the amount of dead flies on the tables and window sills. I know flies can be a problem in some areas, but these had obviously been there for an extended period. I tried to blow them away, but they were stuck on the tables.

Fine historic Hotel from a bygone era! Christie is an awesome hostess and though I did not actually eat a meal there, the meals looked and smelled wonderful( I had already eaten before arrival)! Quiet peaceful sleep, wonderful wood stove heat for the dining room/bar area. Nice surprise, breakfast included!
