We very much enjoyed the lovely little top-floor apartment - it was cosy for our family of four but beautifully maintained and very well positioned to explore Split. Breakfast was served at the excellent eatery directly below the apartment and was very good. Support from the host with checking in and transfer to the airport at the end of our stay was efficient and much appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Desideria. The location was perfect – right in the charming atmosphere of the Old Town, yet within easy walking distance of both the beach and all the main sights of Split. One thing we especially appreciated was how quiet it was at night. Despite being so close to everything, we were able to sleep very well. The room was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated during the warm weather. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily stay here again.

Room was an okay place to stay. Nothing super special but not bad. We had fresh towels delivered daily but there is no room service other than that such as making the bed, cleaning the floor and sometimes the trash wasn’t taken out when we returned. The handle on the shower door was broken and also did not close all the way allowing water to splash all over the floor making the floor soaked with water. The curtains would regularly fall off the rods because the curtain stopper was broken off. The bed also was 2 small beds put together to make a queen bed so there was a hole in between the beds. We never met anybody from the hotel. The downstairs waiter at the restaurant got us the keys. The breakfast was provided by the restaurant on the 1st floor. No elevator as stated which makes luggage difficult to bring up. Outside can be noisy from the downstairs restaurant late at night and you hear people being loud. An okay stay but for €150-€200 Euros a night I have had considerably better. AC was good.

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were cute and well appointed. The air conditioning worked very well. Checking in and out was incredibly easy as well. The location is great, right outside the Old Town and walkable to the ferry and bus stations if you’re headed elsewhere.

We had a wonderful unit that blended old with new, was spacious and very clean. It was up a small, quaint road off the main road and no traffic noise. Delightful setting and the restaurant attached was excellent. It was a lovely experience yet minutes away from the central core. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place. Very clean. Has a small kitchen. Walking distance to the center with all the famous spots and restaurants. Delicious breakfast. The staff communicates via text messages: response time is quick. They explained where to get the keys, sent the map and names of streets with free parking. If you are looking for a place not far from the palace, this is definitely it! I would stay here again!

Lovely stay

Beautiful accomodation, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast, the lady that serves the breakfast is such a character, friendly, hospitable and really made our stay. The man who who does breakfast also lovely. The communication with accommodation is what let's the place down, otherwise it would have been 5 stars. They were slow or didn't respond. Otherwise great stay.

Value for money

This room was good value for money as options in Split are expensive. It is walking distance to the coach station and seafront/promenade area. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is at a cafe downstairs with good and plentiful options. The cooked to order ham & cheese omelette was the best choice. However it is above a bar and that meant it was very loud into the early hours. Especially as the windows didn’t fully close, which wasn’t a problem for the heat but it was due to the noise. No front desk but the owner is very responsive on WhatsApp.

Too much money for a poor service

I had to wait in the street for 14 minutes until somebody apears, even I had sent a message that I was arriving. Fortunately it was not raining and I was not desperate for a restroom. There's no support/help for anything that you eventually need, because there's no reception. Even to leave the luggage for few hours the situation is confusing. The breakfast is not good. It's for backpackers or extremely budget travellers. But the price is not for them. Good points: there's a fridge and the shower is good.

definitely use their transport service from the airport as it would be hard to find if someone didnt know the property. we enjoyed it. only note was breakfast was included but the person staffing the breakfast seemed unhappy that we arrived towards the end (but well within) the appointed breakfast time. great location to wander around Split.

The service from the waiter in the restaraunt Mathew was amazing-- he also volunteered to take our luggage up to our room as we were starved right after checking in. The young lady cleaning our room took extra time to help find a pharmacia . We asked for a taxi to take us to the port and the manager instead took our bags and drove us to the dock-- he refused to take any money . The breakfast was great. Best service we have ever had and we travel a great deal
