Stayed here in October for 2 nights! Great location, easy access and check in, feels cozy. Nice bathroom! Close to bus stops and shopping district. Would stay here again if we go back!

We stayed for one night and it did what we wanted it too, the room was lovely modern deco, night for one or two nights in Iceland. Location is ok there’s some places to go a short walk away

10/10 Exceptional

Great communications prior to check-in. The property is very nicely designed and everything works perfectly. There are a couple of cafés around, which makes it super convenient to have an early start. The city center is walking distance away and the city has lots to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and loved Rejkiavik.

Great stay

Excellent return stay, clean and comfortable room, lovely bathroom. Great wee kitchen. Close to Laugavegur, less than 5 min walk from bars, shops and restaurants. Parking available for free. 20 min walk to harbour area. Near to bus station.

Nice modern and clean big room with kitchen. For ~130 EUR a night it was fair. Check in was not too smooth as it took an hour to get the key card for the room.

We were informed by email a good 3 hours before check-in that we were in a different hotel. This hotel was a good mile away from downtown. Room was right to the street. Music and Cars could be heard outside at night. The room was well equipped and also very comfortable.
Saskia, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel itself is great: Clean, convenient, and lovely. The check-in instructions were very confusing. I received multiple different entry codes for the building over the phone and by email, and the email instructions did not match what was written on an instructions page inside the building. After the confusing check-in process, everything else about the hotel was wonderful.

Full of necessities

I liked the property very match. I rarely find properties which has everything I need. The kitchenette was so useful. Amenities wise it was awesome. Loved it. The only part which could have been better is the checkin insyructions by Hotels.com. Hotels.com didn't forward me the proper check-in information so I had to call the property late at night and incurred some roaming costs.

A Townhouse Reykjavik

Great location in central Reykjavik, just a short walk to the city centre. Property was pretty clean, although the windows were dirty. Black out blinds for mid summer would have been beneficial. Don’t know why so many hotels have glass doors to the bathroom!!! Just don’t get it!!

Cancelled my reservation 9:00 am arrival day

Got to Iceland. Never got checkin onformation. Got message at 9:00am saying bthey were overbooked and cancelled my stay. There was only a virtual desk and no person to help. Terrible to dump a traveler like that

Not great

We were locked out and our keys had been swapped during our stay. Wasn’t ideal to be sitting outside the lobby for someone to sort it out at 1am. Disappointing not to be able to check out a day earlier when our plans had change. This had been requested 2 weeks in advance.

We stayed here for 8 nights, the communication with the owners was not great, because we booked through expedia they didn't send us the right code to enter the building, so we had to call the phone number on the door, but if we wouldn't be able to call them then I'm not sure how we would have gotten the right code. Regardless that hassle, the parking was always available, if the front parking lot is full we just parked on the street, the room was nice and clean, with room service every day. overall for the price its a very nice place, with all utensils one would need, including a refrigerator, dish washer, stovetop, and oven in our unit, i would go back to this hotel.

Check in was not great - I didn’t get sent the correct code and had to keep calling the number in the door. Once I was connected the person was super helpful but I had not been given the door code or my code to get the room key! Apart from this our stay was lovely, the room was perfect with lots of space and a lovely modern bathroom so no complaints there!
Charlotte, 1-night trip

I'll start with the most important thing: this hotel is a complete self-check in hotel, there is no reception - so consider this in case you are uncomfortable with it. We had no prob with that and can also recommend the place. We received an email and also a call by the property manager to inform us that we were booked into another location due to maintenance issues. The entry to the hotel was a little hard to find but all the self check in information was easy to go through. We had some issues while checking in but the property manager was available within a few seconds and super helpful. Parking is available in front of the hotel or on the streets closeby.

Avoid

Avoid! Provided with entry code for the building on the morning of our stay only to turn up to find the code didn't work and when we rang the owners they told us we couldn't stay because of the hospitality strikes. Ridiculous customer service. At least give us advance notice to try and find an alternative before 10pm at night at a time when all the hotels in Reyjavik turned out to be fully booked.
Rachel, 2-night trip

They gave us the wrong code to the building, so we never even got to go inside. This left us homeless in a foreign country. They didn't respond to any calls or messages or come to help. This is now 2 days later and still no contact. At this point, it might be a scam. Avoid!

We booked a room for 3 but when we checked in, there was only a double bed in the room. It was nearly midnight. We were offered alternative accommodation at a hotel 15 mins drive away but told to make our own way there at our own expense. We decided to stay put and spent a very uncomfortable night with 3 of us in one bed. We were moved on day 2 and told we would be refunded for the first night. No refund has been forthcoming. The bathrooms are lovely but the room we stayed in was far too dark. It's a bit of a long walk (20 mins plus) to the main part of town. Also ljmited hours for leaving luggage. Sadly, we wouldn't recommend or stay there again.

The hotel branch has been changed last minute and we only received an email on the next night after checking in in the other location. Wrong information prior of the trip, we arrived in the booked hotel, the entrance code didn’t work, after 2 telephone conversation both sides realised that the wrong information was sent. On the third call we were given a new hotel location. Lost an hour finding out what’s going on. The new location was a double distance from the historic centre, so we have to drive always to the town rather than walk as we were planing. The breakfast was very poor, only one lady serving it. She was trying her best but it was not possible! On the second day the waffle machine was broken as well..
S, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good spot, short walk into town or to the water. 5 minutes down the street from bus stop 13. Very helpful to have cooking facilities in the room. Some communication confusion as we were sent two different door codes and the way we were checked in didn’t match the explanation on the signs at the entrance. However, when we arrived we were put in a room smaller than we paid for and the woman who welcomed us was very rude and unhelpful. Luckily Expedia helped us and the owner called me and we managed to change rooms to the one we booked (despite the rude woman telling us someone else was in there, they clearly weren’t). Real shame as it was a good spot to stay but our arrival was super stressful. Housekeeping staff were both very lovely and polite. I would say be aware that the bathroom doors are frosted and so you can see /hear what’s happening in there from the room. Overall, good location and value for money. Shame one person’s customer service let it down.

Reconsider your booking.

We were diverted to the hotel R13-townhouse hotel. According to the Google reviews and other guests from the hotel, I got to know that this is very common. If you're booking this hotel, be aware that your stay can be also diverted to another property. It is only announced less than 2 hours before my check-in. So I could not see it on time. If you don't have a car, it is not easy to move to another hotel and it is rather further from all the tourist attractions. Very understaffed. I paid already for the 105-a townhouse hotel, but the self-check-in tablet requested me to put in credit card information for the payment (they did not synchronized the payment info to the diverted hotel). As there's NO ONE in the lobby, you may end up not having a room without giving your credit card information. The fire alarm went on, all guests gathered outside of the building in rain, but no fire fighters or staff of the hotel appeared to solve this issue. Only 3rd party security company empolyee came and turned off the alarm and told us to go up without checking the property at all.
