TOO LOUD!!!

The apartment has all of the amenities including air conditioning comfortable beds. They forgot a crib for the baby the first night but we're happy to bring it the next day. The reason for the low review is the very loud nightclub across the street that plays music until 3:00 a.m.

Great Apartment, Terrible Noise from Nightclub

The apartment itself was fantastic—well-presented, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The location was also great, with easy access to the main sights of Athens and local amenities. Our host was incredibly helpful and responsive, going out of their way to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the nightclub directly opposite. From 10 PM until 3-5 AM, the extremely loud dance music made it completely impossible to sleep, even with earplugs and extra cushions over our heads. We were exhausted for our entire trip which spoilt our experience. While the apartment is perfect in every other way, it’s simply not a good choice if you're looking for a restful stay or if you are a bomb proof sleeper. If the noise issue were resolved, this would be an excellent place to stay.

Very nice stay. Clean apartment close to EVERYTHING! Nice touches: binder with useful tips and reminders, little boxes with cracjers/jam/honey, 2 bathrooms, safe building in a safe neighborhood. Fast communication with the hosts. Definitely will stay here again!

Not just noisy, it was EXTREMELY noisy, as if the music and people from the bar just across were in our bed! Fortunately we had noise canceler AirPods. Without that, we would not have gone to bed before 4am, every night from Saturday to Tuesday!!!! Simply awful! Location is great to downtown, but not in terms having a restful night.

Don't stay here on a Friday or Saturday if sleep is important to you. We stayed for 7 days. The bar across the street (10m away) played background music until around 11pm until Thursday. No problem. Friday night at 11pm the music goes up to obscene levels and the place stayed open to 3am. On Saturday it was 5am. In the notes it says that noise free rooms cannot be guaranteed. This is a city centre and completely understandable, you have people, cars and scooters going around. There are bin lorries and the bakery downstairs turns it's mixer on at 7.15am. The above note is not sufficient. The weekend noise needs to be made clear so people can make an informed decision. We don't feel the description was anywhere near honest enough and hence a poor review. This is a shame as the property is otherwise well presented, clean enough and well located for Athens Sights and amenities. Please be open and honest.

Nous avons séjourné une seule nuit au Karitsi, étant de passage entre l'île de Aegina e l'aéroport.Position excellente pour une visite des lieux d'intérêts principaux. Un bémol, malgré les avertissements de Cristina qui nous a très bien reçu et de façon très pro: impossible de fermer l'oeil dans la chambre qui donne sur la rue même avec fenêtres fermées, tampons d'oreille et bonne volonté.....il y a 3 ou 4 bars dans la même rue ouverts toute la nuit!!! C'est pratique pour trouver un taxi à 6h du mat.....ils sont là à attendre les clients. Sinon l'appartement est très bien, propre, simple et confortable

Provided for a great, spacious apartment in the centre of Athens. Bars were within the immediate vicinity and you can easily walk to some of the city's attractions. Host was by far the best part of the experience, arranging transfers, providing ample information about the accommodation and local area and even leaving snacks for breakfast the next day. Recommended and would definitely stay again.

Good but spoilt by the noise.

Karitsi Place has a lot going for it but unfortunately the surrounding area was disappointing. The reason for that is the noise, every night there was loud music past midnight, even with all the windows shut it was hard to sleep. On top of that other occupants were noisy in the stairwell and in the apartment above. Because of this it spoilt our stay. But if you too are party animals and heavy sleepers this is a good apartment. It is walking distance to metro station and the Express bus from the airport. There is plenty of restuarants nearby as well as supermarkets. It is also walking distance to the main sights. The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated and spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen although small is well stocked and the basic requirements were supplied. The other bonus was the free use of a washing machine within the building. There is free wifi which was quite good.
