Beautiful country place , easy to find on 287. Room was modern and very nice!

Amazing views of surrounding mountains. The high ceilings and extra large rooms really make it feel like an oasis in the shadow of the mountains. My family of 4 slept comfortably and enjoyed watching deer from the back porch!
Sarah, 1-night trip

Great property just 10 minutes from town at a little more affordable price. The property was dog friendly and had a nice back porch with a yard.

Awesome place

Very clean. Quiet. Wonderful shower stall. Awesome back door in the room onto private patio. Excellent location. Motel style, park in front of room.

Beautiful views from back patio, open screened windows, good bed, laundry facilities.

8/10 Very good

Almost Great! (Good enough for me)

Pros: Beautiful setting, nice bed, convenient location. Cons:The laundry, and vending machines were out of order, and all the “service” was remote—no employees/management were physically present at the property (which made requesting towels, etc. problematic). The parking lot is dirt/fine gravel, and a bit muddy (no big deal for me). The water pressure was not great. Overall: I would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful setting

Quiet private patio off the room. Large comfortable room for an extended stay. The restaurant was no longer open due to a fire last fall.

Comfortable place to stay. Quiet easy parking, beautiful scenery. Room was in great condition, except carpet. 7 miles to stores and restaurants.

Very quite, far from the town but that's what we were looking for

2/10 Poor

Robbed by the McAllister!

There was no one there to help us! We called the telephone number of the "parent motel" in town. They said we could trade our room and come stay there if we'd prefer. We did! They told us they would call you and cancel the McAllister reservation. They recharged us for the room at the Sportsman's Lodge. She apparently never cancelled your room because we were charged for both rooms and only stayed in one!
Brad, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The staff so helpful and friendly. Remote check in was easy. The rooms were very spacious and clean. It had a nice mini kitchen. It feels very much like a cabin experience and is geared towards fishermen. The patio was also nice to sit outside. From the outside, the hotel building is fine but when you pull into the parking lot, there is a burnt down building which is an eyesore. The hotel is also the only business within at least 5 or 6 miles so have to travel into Ennis for food, gas, shopping, etc. I would stay again.

Excellent stay!

Excellent stay, beautiful room, very clean and comfortable! We loved the outside patio with picnic table, table and chairs! Don’t be put off by the outside appearance…it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the room was excellent! 👍
Terri, 1-night trip

This was a very cute property, Check in was easy. Disappointed that the Steak House Restaurant not being there. It burnt down a year ago and they have not updated there site. So, you had to drive back to town for meals.

The room was very nice. We had planned to eat at the restaurant and bar. It would be nice if the website had been updated to show that it had burned down and is no longer available.
