This is not a posh hotel but served our purpose at a high level. We wanted a brief overnight stay in a comfortable bed, with a decent shower and enough towels. Mantra provided all of this. I like a shower cap, and soap rather than wall dispensers and Mantra does not have these. I also like a USB port near the bed, and this was a missing feature. However, the service was friendly, there was a buffet breakfast available, and my main requirements were met - comfortable bed, good shower and enough towels. Added to this, it is right on a near a tram stop, and two coffee shops, and a reasonable walk into the city, or to a small shopping area with a pharmacy, more coffee and breakfast options, a very good convenience store, and bar. The location makes this a good place to stay, and the room size is good enough to make that stay a longer one than the one I enjoyed.

The room was fine, the hotel was clean and the limited interactions I had with staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue is that the parking is terrible. The hotel carpark is tiny and fills up quickly and the street parking around the hotel is all time limited. If you are travelling for work or are an early riser then this hotel is great but if you are looking for a relaxing stay where you can sleep in, this is probably not the place for you.

Room was spotless. Breakfast excellent and varied. A/C /heating was so easy to control. I am elderley and usually find TV and AC diffiult to operate, but this hotel was the best I have used for someone like myself not good with technology.

I had an amazing stay at Mantra MacArthur Canberra and honestly one of the best hotels I’ve experienced at this price range. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and professional. The room was modern, clean, and very well maintained, with a comfortable bed and great overall layout. It really felt like a high-quality stay without the premium price tag. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, making it perfect whether you’re traveling for business or leisure. The facilities are well looked after, and everything just works the way you’d expect from a top-tier hotel.
