Our first impressions of the hotel were very positive. The building looked distinctive, had a beach frontage and an adjacent swimming pool, and bar area with seating, although it wasn't open whilst we were there. The reception area and all areas were spotless.
Our room had a balcony and sea view . The decor was bland, and the TV appeared to be hanging at an angle from the wall. This was fixed the next day. There was no welcome pack giving information or a kettle or even a bottle of water. As there wasn't anywhere to get a drink in the hotel this was very inconvenient. The shower had a glass door missing and there was no
Body wash, just two tiny pieces of soap. The drawers were faulty and were difficult to keep shut. The bed was comfortable and the towels of good quality.
The breakfast was adequate but no toaster available. The staff there were helpful but were unable to understand our request for scrambled eggs.
There appeared to be only 8 guests staying whilst we were there, the Reception desk was not manned at all so there was nobody to speak to.
Our room was not cleaned at all one day but we understand that this was due to an emergency issue for the staff member concerned. Slightly suprised there was no back up system in place.
Overall a pleasant hotel but felt the service and maintenance standards lacking for the costs paid.
