10/10 Exceptional

Very comfortable bed and very clean linens. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food and service. Fantastic location just outside Settle. Would stay here again. New carpet and removing visible mould from grouting in shower as well as dog free rooms would have made this a 5 star stay.

8/10 Very good

Beautiful Grade2 lusted property, within easy walking distance of the town centre. Gardens lovely as were communal areas and dining, both breakfast and dinner very good. Only reason for 4* rating is that our room was accessed by two flights of stairs with no lift which might be a challenge for less mobile visitors. Our bathroom, although perfectly serviceable, was on the small side.

Excellent Stay

From checking in to checkout the staff were brilliant. Room was clean and comfortable. We stayed through serious bad weather and even with staff going early to ensure they got home those that stayed were attentive, polite and ensured nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely stay

We had a one night stay with our dog. The hotel felt warm and welcoming. All the staff were very friendly and efficient and made a fuss of our little pooch. The rooms were comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was lovely and even our dog her own sausage on a garnished plate.

6/10 Good

Location was good as I was doing a walk locally but the hotel felt a little dated. Would have liked a bit more food at breakfast, only one piece of bacon.

8/10 Very good

Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely setting with rooms well ordered, Cooked breakfast was well cooked. It fruit selection poor and no plain yoghurt! Evening meal menu had something for everyone. Lovely log fires burning and a great place to stay for a celebration. Good parking and only a few minutes walk into the pretty market town which has pubs and an Indian along with lots of cafes.
