The second time we’ve stayed here! Such good and friendly service! We loved the cosines in the bar, particularly with the fire going. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast at the Wisteria too.

Gerda & Philip were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful with planning some close-by walks. Wisteria is in a very peaceful area and the sunny garden is great for enjoying one of the many beers on offer! Breakfast was delicious! A fantastic stay; we’ll be back.

Perfect place to stay

I had a really nice stay at Wisteria. Nice room, kind and helpful staff and a lovely garden outside. There are not so many restaurants nearby, but luckily the staff could offer dinner on request as well. Hopefully I will be back here sometime.

If you want to be looked at well then this is the place to go. The owner are constant there looking at you like a camera and the women is very rude when she speaks. My wife was very irritated and she is normally the better half of us. The floor is dirty if you really check and the spa is very small.

We truly enjoyed our stay here... it’s an adorable hotel in a small town with friendly staff and beautiful decor! We arrived later in the day without dinner reservations, but they quickly shared their food with us! The pork cheeks were delicious, as were the vegetables & croquettes. They have a great beer selection too! The breakfast was also nice ... the garden has a chicken pen & 2 goats! The whole garden was very well kept with cute antiques, plants, coy, etc! The hotel is modern, clean & quiet! I would return without hesitation!

Good Hospitality and Good Breakfast

Herne is a small and nice village and it is half an hour driving distance to Brussel. So, a car is essential if you stay in Wisteria and want to visit other cicites in Belgium. Hotel is 10 minutes walk to train station and it takes 40 minutes to Brussel by train. We did not use train because it is expensive for three persons. We use Indigo Interparking system for car parking in Brussel. It is cheaper than road parkings. Other cities it is very easy to find free parking. Brugges is one hour driving distance and Gent is 40 minutes by car from Herne. I highly recommend to visit Pairi Daiza for a day. It is an interesting animal zoo, 20 minutes by driving and worth to see. Breakfast in the hotel is very satisfactory. The most we liked in the Wisteria is hospitality.
