The location was very nice, right in the heart of the old town, but the accommodation was still quiet at night. Our room got cleaned every day. The jacuzzi was fully functional. The breakfast was really good, the local specialty pastries were amazing. Staff were very helpful, they sorted out airport transfers and car rentals for us.

Overall, I really liked this hotel. I thought it was very conveniently placed. It was near a lot of nice restaurants and shops. I do wish I was given instructions before check in because we had to go to a building a short walk away to check in but we had to call someone to figure that out. Also, it says the rooms are sound proof but it was a little noisy and our room was right there next to the street. You could hear everyone on the streets and people walking in the room above you. I still thought it was a very cute room and loved that they provided things like shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, etc.

24 hour reception NOT at the room.

We loved it! Note: The Eλία / Elia Reception in Chania is not always were the rooms are! The Reception is on a little alley just behind, but parallel, to the harbour side. Super nice reception staff! Elia (Eλία) have rooms in different places in the quite ritzy little alleys behind Chania Old Port. So we did quite a bit of wandering the tiny narrow, but safe and full of tourists, alleys until we found the 24 hour Reception. Kinda fun and a good vibe, seek and you will find! Our room had its entrance door right on an alley on the ground floor. It had a high beamed ceiling and made us feel like humble but very comfortable Venetian merchants. Noting that Chania Old Port is Venetian. Pity we are not ship owners with very rich cargos! But, we certainly slept like royalty on ultra comfortable beds - splitting a double. Super comfy, great TV, and stunning being in the ultra beautiful old city centre with hundreds of restaurants and endless live music. Fab!

Das Hotel ist in keinem guten Zustand. Die Badezimmer weisen Schimmel in den Duschen auf. Im ersten Zimmer roch es schlecht, im zweiten nach Schimmel, der auch über den Betten sichtbar war. (Raum 201 und 101) In beiden Zimmern haben wir aktive Kakerlaken vorgefunden, so dass ein fortgesetzter Aufenthalt für uns nicht mehr möglich war. Bei der Suche einer Alternative wurde erst auf Insistieren ein anderes Zimmer gefunden. Klärung und Umzug haben uns nicht nur Nerven, sondern auch einen halben Urlaubstag gekostet. Für ein DZ über 100 € pro Nacht eine Zumutung.

Hotellet har en flott beliggenhet midt i gamlebyen, med kort gangavstand til havnen, restauranter og butikker. Rommet var pent og sengen var god. Det er imidlertid noen ting det er greit å være klar over. Bygningen har en bratt og smal trapp og ingen heis, noe som kan være utfordrende med store kofferter. Badet var også ganske lite. Det knirket også i gulvet. Innsjekk og utsjekk foregår på et annet Elia-hotell rundt 200 meter unna (Elia Zampelio) og frokosten serveres på et tredje Elia-hotell omtrent 150 meter fra rommet (Elia Fatma). Det var litt upraktisk. Frokosten levde dessverre ikke opp til forventningene. Med alle de hyggelige kaféene og bakeriene i gamlebyen ville jeg heller spart pengene og spist frokost der.

Comme beaucoup de logements a Chania, Portou Due est dans la Vieille Ville. Inaccessible en voiture. Notre GPS nous a rapproché au max. Mais sachez le. En fait il y'a le parking Plaza a 5min ou encore mieux, un parking sauvage juste en face. La chambre est belle, le jacuzzi super, la climatisation marche bien. Je dois avoir que la chambre 301 est au 2e sans ascenseur et qu'il y avait un problème d'internet. Le personnel a fait son maximum mais... pas de problème dans les autres chambres. C'est très sympa d'être dans la vieille ville. Le prix est très correct

A perfectly appointed studio right in the old town

The location of this studio apartment is absolutely spot on. Walk out of your door and you are seconds away from the tavernas, tiny quaint streets and shops of the old town. The people who work for the Elia hotel group are lovely, helpful and friendly. Check in was super simple. The apartment was cleaned everyday. And new towels every day. The room itself was in great condition, with modern decor. We absolutely loved our stay. The only slight negative was the noise from upstairs and outside (this happens with old buildings). I’m a fairly light sleeper but my earplugs perfectly blocked out the noise. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of. Thanks a fantastic stay in Chania old town!!

Hotel à ne pas recommander

Nous avons été très déçus par la nuit dans cet hotel. La chambre n'est pas du tout insonorisée. Des travaux ont été faits ce qui laisse penser au client que l'hotel est confortable et de bon niveau mais ce n'est qu'un leurre. La porte laisse passer le jour et donc le bruit, la fenêtre n'a ni double vitrage ni volets qui pourraient diminuer le bruit et au premier étage il y a du parquet et n'y a eu aucun travaux d'isolation phonique faits( nous entendions les clients marcher! Le séjour dans la chambre aurait pu être agréable car le confort est tout à fait raisonnable par rapport au prix mais impossible de dormir. Pour mes 2 autres hébergements exceptionnellement je suis passée par Airbnb et si les prestations étaient inferieures, nous avons au moins dormi! Nous ne comprenons pas la note qui a été attribuée à l'hotel car pour notre part le rôle d'un hôtel est de louer au client un hébergement clos, chauffé, propre et dans lequel il y a suffisament de silence pour assurer au moins 4 heures de sommeil d'affilée.La note de 4 me paraît suffisante.

Disappointing room

Very disappointed by our stay and by the hotel facilities (no resemblance to the pictures we had seen on the website). We had a 3-night reservation that unfortunately was not completed as the room that we were given had intense mold fumes (with clear signs of mold also on the walls) and we ended up staying only the first night requesting for another room. The receptionists did his bets to find us another room, but as the hotel was fully booked we left the room and it simply destroyed our trip trying to ind a different accommodation during a peak season.

Nice location near the port in a charming quiet alley. Good welcome and helpful staff. Good size of the room and nice bed and bathroom. Although the rest of the room is clean, the floor needs a serious clean up and the room is quite humid.
