Honestly the room was amazing!! We stayed in a beautifully decorated three room suite for a wildly reasonable price. My only regret is I was running around so much, I didn’t spend much time in the room! I stayed with a friend but this would be a great stay for a romantic getaway. The location was quiet but close to everything. Definitely recommend!

I loved everything about this hotel. It is nearly new, great breakfasts, quiet and attractive inside and out. They communicated with me quickly and clearly when I had questions before my visit. What I liked best was the camaraderie of the team. They act like a close family. Yale really stands out. Great English, always happy to help. She went above and beyond to get my new phone setup when my old one was pickpocketed. Thanks everyone! Be careful! Old town feels very safe, even at night. But the pickpockets are very skilled.

Nice, clean place to stay in Quito. The staff is very helpful, and we found the room to be clean and without too much noise in the night. The front desk is happy to help guide you. The breakfast is tasty!

The hotel was clean and is centrally located in the historical area of quito - not safe once the sun comes down. A HUGE disappointment. Also, don't be fouled by the “free shuttle offering” to the airport is total lie!. Is a false advertisement. If you reserve one night only, they will turn it around saying that you have to stay a minimum of 2 nights in order to obtain it.

The receptionist Yale is extremely helpful with getting your trip sorted and has any 'must see' for you figured out. Never have been in such good hands in a foreign country. An absolute YES if you want to spend an unforgettable time without having everything planned and scheduled beforehand. And yes, the hotel has a good standard, too :-)

The building itself, the age, the wood floors, the wooden staircases, the roof top breakfast area which has an amazing view and whilst the building is historically charming the bathrooms are modern. The check in was excellent. Efficient, informative and very friendly.

An ideal place to stay with friends in a city of mystery, the bed and the room was ideal to stay 2 nights, the treatment was very friendly and they tried to help you in everything you need, the breakfast was very rich, something from another world, its location is close to everything especially the big square just 5min walk. The environment at the hotel was extremely welcoming, the service was great and the room was well equipped and clean. I particularly enjoyed the walking tour with Santiago, who was very thorough with his explanations and showed us the best of Quito’s beautiful historical town! Even though I was traveling solo, I never felt alone because of the staff. I would definitely recommend this place to any travellers looking for a more personal and traditional trip in Quito!

In addition to the efficient friendly service at the reception desk, I also want to thank Ethel for the informative excellent walking tour of the Old City. You can arrange this tour with the front desk or respond to the text and book it via text. The breakfast was fabulous, cooked to order as opposed to a buffet. This hotel really deserves its name, Friends. i can’t remember the last time when I felt so welcomed. The reception is very helpful. i inmediately felt st home. There are some nice common areas if you don’t want to be in your room. i loved the rocking chair outside my room. Breakfast was good too, with fresh fruit, juice, eggs, toast and coffee/too. Only minus is some street noice in the morning.

Where do I start...I had high hopes for this hotel, the pictures portrayed a quaint hostel in a great part of town with beautiful wood detailing and open courtyards. We had a late arrival and it took them a while to open the doors, and get us checked in. We were taken to our room and told that the private bathroom we booked was not working and we had to use the shared bathroom out in the hallway. After having spent the past 4 days in the Amazon we were too exhausted to protest, before bed we confirmed that there would be a shuttle service to the airport the following evening and the proprietor enthusiastically said yes! After he left we began to unpack, only to open the desk drawer and find a package of open condoms, then the lights flickered and went out. We woke up the next morning and we still had no electricity. The room went without electricity for the remainder of the day with promises that "they were working on it". The room smelled like raw sewage mixed with the urinal cake in the non functioning toilet. All in all it was a terrible experience and not worth the premium for staying in the historical district, you are better off sleeping on the steps of one of the beautiful cathedrals around Quito.

Truly one of the best stays I had in my travels. I was welcomed with so much love and left very sad that I had to leave my new friends here in this hotel. Some key points what made my stay awesome, the daily breakfast from the “welcome breakfast” to the “box-lunch” breakfast as if I had a tour at 6am they made sure I left with a very well prep breakfast. The kitchen staff beyond awesome and delicious meals. The front desk made sure I had all the information I needed and booked 3 amazing tours for me, Otavalo, Baños & Cotopaxi. I’m in a noisy NY but sleeping at this location was very peaceful/comfortable. They allowed me to keep my bags at the location even after checkout because I had a very late flight. To everyone at the hotel thank you so much, I’m very grateful for my stay and I’ll definitely come back.
