An amazing glimpse into the rural life in Laos, you stay in simple yet charming accommodations which are safe with mosquito nets and very clean. The food and service is top notch, with delicious options that are not overpriced. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet getaway, walking around the nearby village, talking a boat to the Kong Lor cave, kayaking in the lagoon and just hanging out playing games at the deck overlooking the river. It was very beautiful and the owners have done a great job on the details, even working hard to talk to guests and clean tables to make sure service is excellent. Highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a peaceful get away.

Springriver Resort is a very nice and beautiful place to stay. The staff is very friendly and wants always to help you. The bungalows and surroundings are very clean. The GardenView bungalows have a shared toilet en douche, but very clean.
The restaurant has delicious food for breakfast ans dinner.
The staff can arranges some trips for you on a good way. The trip to the Konglow cave is not to bee missed. The trip and the cave are beautiful. The only point less is the trip to it, is a bit out of route and takes a bit of time, bot worth the trouble.

Spring River is not to be missed. The location, facilities, food and most of all the staff were amazing. We stayed for 3 nights and 2 full days. Could have stayed at least one more day. It is worth the splurge for the riverside bungalow and longtail boat ride to Kong Lor caves. The resort also arranged a private van transfer from Vientiane and onward to Savannakhet. The van and driver were excellent. Our time here felt very special and unique.

Quiet relaxing getaway
Rustic place with a great location on the river, far from any of the other guest houses in the area. Private bungalow with a fan and mosquito net over the bed. It’s worth roughing it a bit to just relax in a quiet place for a day or two during travels. A taxi boat will pick you up in front of the resort and take you to Kong Lor cave. The taxi boat is a bit expensive comparatively, but worth it for the scenery along the way and not having to travel the dusty road to the cave entrance. The hospitality of the staff is above and beyond.
The staff at SpringRiver was incredible. Top notch service from start to finish. Vicky made it a point to know every guests name before they even arrived. What an incredible stay!
We had a wonderful 3-night stay. We really didn't know much about the area or even the cave but were looking for a getaway that was not too far from Vientiane. The Spring River Resort popped up on a google search and because it was the right distance we decided to give it a chance. Our expectations far exceed our hopes. We chose a room with a private bathroom which overlooked the river. It was very clean and comfortable. With the resort being close to villages it was a delight to watch and hear the local children playing in the water. The first full day we took a long boat to the cave entrance where we took another longboat into the cave. The 45 minutes to the cave entrance was so idyllic. We passed families bathing, water buffalo grazing and loads of ducks. This trip alone would have been worth it but the cave was amazing just adding to the layers of our adventure. The meals were tasty and reasonably priced set in a very pleasant setting. The river was clean and great to cool off in. We rented one of their longboats and paddled to the nearby lagoon and walked a loop weaving through a village giving high 5 to the kids. We so enjoyed meeting Vicky the owner and her staff who were very thoughtful and kind always making sure we were happy and we were...very!! We would love to go back!

3 nights
I stayed 3 nights at this place and had a great time. The views are spectacular. I took their boat up to the caves and it was a great experience.
The cheaper rooms do not have an attached bathroom but I didn't mind this at all because a walk through the garden is beautiful.

Best choice to stay near Konglor Cave
This resort is a lighting star in the Konglor Cave area and the highlight of my 1 month trip in Laos. The whole resort has been renovated and everything is very well kept and paid attention to every small detail. The place is very well managed by Mrs. Vicky and her husband Thomas. They are very knowledgeable about the area and super friendly people who speak excellent english. The location is just breathtaking... next to the river and limestone cliffs. But the most amazing place is the Lagoon in front of the resort. They rent boats to explore the lagoon which is a Spring water river that winds 700 meter through untouched jungle. All the water comes out from the ground. It is an absolute magic place!!! Also they offer a scenic boat ride directly from the resort to the entrance of the Konglor Cave. Amazing trip! The bungalows are super clean and well equipped. The restaurant right at the riverside serves the most delicious food I have had on my tour in Laos. Also the western food they serve is absolutely superb! Don't think long and stay there! THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SPOT IN LAOS!!!
