Perfect location, with the train station in one direction and the city center in the other. Close to everything. We stayed in a Studio Basic, which offered plenty of space and a small private kitchen. It was also quiet and peaceful in the building. The check-in process was a bit unusual, however; personally, I prefer speaking to someone on-site rather than someone at a call center in an unknown location. It would have been easier to bring up issues—such as the bed being far too hard and the bathroom drain needing to be cleared—if I had been dealing with someone in person.

Pros: Host was extremely kind and sweet. The location was amazing and the apartment was spacious and clean. Cons: Advertises AC but Host advised no AC. Only 1 Key 🔑 and we were two different people with different plans. If one person was in the room they would be locked in, which is a major fire and safety hazard. Also, Host would not provide check-in instructions until we paid the very minor taxes which has never occurred in all of our Europe Travels.

Nice location. Nice washer and kitchen. Far from parking. Check in was complicated. Check email for addition website to check into. This was difficult without wifi. We were standing on the street trying to figure it out at 10PM. Then you get a building code to get a box code to get a room key. Now we understand it, it is doable.

Staff brilliantly secured check-in in spite of in-house (temporary) IT issues. Accommodation was clean and spacious. Special thanks to 'virtual check-in man' on check-in. Special thanks also to 'cleaner lady' on check-out for effective communication skills. It was the best of city centre living.

We liked the size of the room, and it had a full kitchen we didn’t use since we only stayed for 1 night. The check in process is a little difficult, but didn’t take too long. All of the lights were off in the building when we arrived so we walked up the stairs using the flashlights on our phones. We were told to leave our keys in the room when we checked out, but 5 minutes before checkout time a lady, who we assume was the cleaner, came banging on the door demanding we get out and give her the key. That has lowered my rating for this stay. Overall, it is a good location for seeing Trieste!

Overall, I would rate our almost 3-week stay 4 stars. The location was excellent – right in the city centre, close to everything, and within walking distance of the train station. The apartment looked just like the pictures listed on Hotels.com and was overall very nice. There were a few small issues during our stay. The bathroom had quite a strong smell, and the apartment was a bit dark. On our first day, the curtains and curtain rod fell down, but luckily they were light and no one was hurt. Housekeeping during the three weeks was rather minimal, and I ended up doing an extra clean myself after one visit. Unfortunately, soap and toilet paper were never replenished during our stay, so we had to buy these ourselves. That said, we still enjoyed our stay thanks to the great location and comfortable apartment, and we would be happy to return again in the future.

We loved our fabulous apartment and were sorry we could only stay one night. When we arrived by train, it was easy to walk to the hotel. It was also very simple to walk to the cruise terminal the next day. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and clean. An excellent choice for anyone starting or finishing a cruise, but also worth a longer stay.

Residence Theresia with its excellent location was an excellent base from which to walk the city. From the caffe opposite to the nearby restaurants, plenty of choice. The staff were most helpful. The studio apartment was not luxurious but most comfortable and good to come home to. Supermarket nearby.

Lovely spacious apartment in the centre of Trieste, very good value for money, especially considering the price of the hotels nearby. The bed had a firm mattress, as I like it, and the sofas in the living room were very comfortable. I loved the style of the apartment - very Italian, with parquet floor and visible stone bricks. Would definitely return!
