Highly recommend this eco-friendly stay on San Cristóbal! The thoughtful sustainable design and low-impact practices, along with excellent fresh water from a local distributor, made our Galápagos trip feel truly responsible and comfortable. Gracious hosts and lovely, quiet establishment. Homemade breakfast with a view of the bay is a wonderful way to start each day. The guard cats are charming company and the in-room AC is a treat. The staff keeps the place spotless but it is the tropics so expect pests … bring bug stuff if you’re a bug magnet like I am. The walk into town is a gentle 10 min downhill. The walk up is a little more challenging. Fun to walk past the locals and their shops. They’re building a pool and luxury rooms which will add value for a different clientele. I admire Harry and Lucrecia’s entrepreneurial spirit and generous company.

Lucrecia and her husband were absolutely the best hosts. Lucrecia gave us recommendations on where to eat, and helped us arrange a tour. She booked us taxis that were waiting for us in the morning and send us off with a nice to go breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. There are no amenities such as pool or jacuzzi which was advertised, but honestly you wont have time to stay in your hotel anyway. Overall, I would recommend Eco Friendly and would stay here again!

We felt very safe during our stay, and the owner’s husband was incredibly friendly and helpful. He assisted with arranging tours and transportation, which made our visit much easier. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the coffee was some of the best we’ve had. The main areas and outdoor facilities are showing their age and could benefit from updates and improvements. Breakfast was also a bit disappointing compared to the rest of the experience. One unexpected issue for us was the large number of cats on the property. As non-cat people, finding a cat in our room one evening and seeing cats around the breakfast area was not ideal. Overall, the hospitality was great, and with some facility updates and a few small improvements, this could be an even better experience.
