We loved the Colmar Hotel! While our room was a little small, as expected with European hotels, it included an espresso machine, tea/coffee pot, mini fridge stocked with 6 drinks for us to enjoy for free, & slippers for us to keep. At the reception desk, they provided lots of complimentary candy items, and the free breakfast was amazing! It included scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, cereal, eggs for you to boil, juices, dates, prunes, dried fruit, yogurt cups, applesauce cups, wrapped cheeses, breads, pancakes, little jam jars to take, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, and even a fresh squeezed orange juice machine. The staff were so friendly and helpful - it was a breath of fresh air! Couldn't have been happier with our stay!

Our experience was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. Great friendly staff, very good breakfast, nice added touches, like candies, slippers along with expresso and coffee machines, tea, water, sodas, cold tea complimentary in fridge. On leaving we were given some delicious butter cookies. Safe parking and close to train station for those traveling by train. 10 min walk to old town. Lovely town and great place to stay.

What a gem of a hotel. The staff is incredible - so nice and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean - the bathroom terrific with amenities and a great shower. The bed was comfortable, a/c worked great and I got a great night's sleep. But the best was the breakfast. Of all the hotels we stayed in France, this was the BEST croissant we've ever had. The offerings were extensive - meat, cheese, scrambled eggs were extra delicious and the breads incredible. Coffee was amazing as was the fresh squeezed orange juice that you did yourself. Location is great - next to the train station and a 20 min. walk into the town center through a very nice park. Parking was great - lots of room and it was complimentary which wasn't the case in our other hotels. I loved loved this hotel - the staff made it extra special. Highly recommend and would stay there again!

If you want to stay by the train station, this is a great option. To get to old town/Little Venice on foot, it's about a 10-12 minute walk. Overall I was very happy with my stay, but there were a few oddities with the room. First, there are no black out curtains, so the entire time I was wondering if people in the parking garage could see into my room. Secondly, there's a red glass window between the room and bathroom, so I think you could put on an interesting silhouetted show if you're sharing the room. Third, the shower has no door, so the bathroom floor gets really wet (but they provide a big towel/rug to soak it up). Aside from those peculiar items, I was really happy with my stay. The bed was comfortable (although I hate throw pillows in a hotel room) and everything was clean. The hotel has a modern feel to it. The breakfast was outstanding. A large spread of food and drink options, plus great service. If you don't eat dinner in the old town (a lot of restaurants don't open until 7pm), I did not notice many options in walking distance of the hotel. One night I ate at a different hotel near the train station that was good. I would stay here again if visiting Colmar.
