This accommodation tops ALL the places we’ve stayed in Italy. The staff are gracious and so hospitable. Incredibly welcoming. The room, building, the terraces…all first class. Breakfast in the morning was bountiful and delicious. I recommend Portica 10 absolutely!!!

Excellent chef, with a respectful eye towards organic and local tradition. Restaurant is a bit expensive, but far superior to the tourist restaurants in the center. Beautiful breakfast buffet, homemade pastries, and bread like bread should be made.
The experience is worth every penny.
This was my first time in Italy and first time in Europe in 24 years. I chose this place because of the location not being close to the city and the great amenities. Located in a nice little town of 122 people with its own church next door, this hotel was perfect.

About 20 minutes drive outside of Gubbio and up a mountain, the Castello provides a unique hotel stay. Our room was in a building inside the walls. It was quite large with a very roomy bathroom with both large tub and separate shower. Beams, stone walls and wooden shutters contributed to the castle atmosphere. The staff was very welcoming. The owner even took us to the train station when he saw us out on the street looking at our Google Maps for walking directions. 10-12 minutes walk from the train station. (5 if you jog about halfway!) Great breakfast prepared for us. I would highly recommend staying there. (Download an offline translator because they didn't speak much English.)
The family that owns this place was so helpful. None of them spoke English when I checked in, but we were able to figure it out with another guest who translated I could’ve used Google translate as well. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I had an amazing night sleep. The breakfast was great, and for a one night stay before my bike tour. This was perfect. It was quiet, cozy, and close to the start of my bike trip.
This unique Agriturismo seems a long way off the beaten trail to go for a nice quiet retreat. It may appear hard to find but if you are looking for an exceptional location in the mountains then, don’t hesitate to book it. It was a great stay and we loved the resident cat! The only problem we had was the inconsistency with WiFi. Anyone who needs total access at all times should not stay here. Otherwise I would have given a + rating.
Assisi was one of our favorite places to visit in Italy and we highly recommend for all to stay here. Note: town closes down by 8:30-9:00pm. Oh almost forgot they have parking and the bus stops are right close to hotel!
