I booked 3 nights with this hostel but unable to check in. Before i make the reservation, i saw the page from hotels.com shows that the room only for women, so i called directly to the hostel and ask. The staff told me that the hostel is open for everyone not only for women, so i booked. After that i went to check in, i was told by the staff that the hostel is strictly only for women. Since i unable to check in to the property, i asked for my refund, the staff told me that the money is goes to hotels.com not to them yet so they unable to refund me. Next, i call hotels.com customer service directly but the staff said they unable to accommodate because hotels.com had reserved for me for the hostel stay instead of selling it to others, and then i ask if they can refund me for another 2 nights since i booked 3 nights in total and they will have time to sell to other customer. The staff rejected directly and ask if i can find someone else to stay in that hostel. What kind of stupid question? I am on my vacation and i need to find a lady to stay in the hostel? So i ask the staff is it reasonable that i cannot check in to stay in the hostel yet i cannot have any refund? I was so upset and i will never use hotels.com again in the future.
