Natural beauty and quiet

I love the location and the quiet. Even though I (without a car) need to walk uphill for 15 minutes from the train station to the hotel, I do it happily to be near Helsinki's lovely rocky outcroppings (kalliot). I've been here three times and each time, it's the best view outside my window that I can get in Hki, in my opinion. There's a large shopping center at the train station and so, everything one would need. If you come here, don't miss a chance to walk on top of Vallikallio, WWI fortifications trenches built into the rock. They are just behind the hotel. Gives a sense of history.

Cheap and cheerful, good value for money

Cheap and cheerful, comfy beds. Room had cutlery, plates and mugs (which we needed to wash after use). The only downside was the smell of cigarettes coming in from people (workers who stay at Forenom) there. There was free parking outside, garage would have required a paid booking. Lighting outdoors around the parking could be improved for increased feeling of safety at night.

Det var otroligt rent, till och med tavellisterna var dammade. Jag jobbar själv som städerska så det är en yrkesskada att lägga märke till sånt. Boendet ligger väldigt centralt. Det finns en väldigt fin simhall, med utomhuspooler och bubbelpooler 7 minuters promenad från boendet. Vid simhallen fanns också en skog med motionsspår med gatulampor. 10 minuters promenad från hotellet fanns en stor galleria. Allt som man behövde fanns på rummet och i köket.

Det vart ellers ok ved å tenke prisnivå, men uheldig for meg var det, at luftkondisjoneringsanlegg var i ustand. Vi ble orientert med dette på SMS litt seinere ved snarest reparasjon som ikke hende under min opphold.

Rummet var i gott skick, men alldeles för varmt. Mikrovågsugnen fungerade dåligt, ibland inte alls. Det fanns ingen kaffebryggare och bara två snabbkaffepåsar. Gästerna förväntas diska efter sig, men det finns inga tvättfat eller diskbaljor, så man får diska i badrummets lavoar. Inte heller nån kökshandduk att torka med eller något torkställ fanns.

Huone oli yhden hengen huone, jonne lisätty yksi sänky eri seinälle. Tilaa lattialla ei ollut pienten matkalaukkujen vertaa, että olisi saanut auki. Huone haisi tupakalle vielä kaiken lisäksi! Neljä yötä tuollaisessa loukossa oli kyllä liikaa. Soitin Forenomille ja pitkän keskustelun jälkeen saimme huoneen joka oli 15 m kuten netissä lukee, sängyt olivat vierekkäin ja matkalaukut pystyi avaamaan lattialle eikä haissut tupakalle. Ensimmäinen huone oli aivan törkeä! Ovatko huoneet Hotels.com kautta yleensäkin huonoja???
