NEVER Again!!

In the past, I’ve chosen property due to its location and an adequate night’s stay. The Inn is rundown, has no staff and a “HANDS OFF” management. My recent stay was my LAST one!!! My rm (#6) bathroom had NOT been cleaned AND old shower slider door broken - fell due to being.completely off the track. An extremely unsafe situation! After reporting my concerns to manager, it took over 24hrs for a response which is totally unacceptable!!! This place needs NEW owners who are invested in updating as well as operating this Historic Inn.

This was a wonderful establishment! Historic, quiet, and full of memories of the past! 10/10 will visit again. This place puts Grafton on the map!

The Inn was convenient and staff friendly.

room was under renovation. It is rustic and has older furniture. The bathroom needs alot of updates. The vanity faucet leaks bad, the sliding door for the shower does not slide open. The lady guest had to exit the shower behind the toilet, which is a huge safety issue. The toilet seat needs replacing.

Clean room, comfy bed and a good meal all at the right price. Perfect overnight stop on our trip.

This is a great location if you are coming to Grafton. It’s going through renovations so it is not a five star hotel - but it is clean and quiet.

Pretty great property at an affordable rate, I'm fully convinced the building is haunted, but that adds to the charm

When we booked this property we did not know that the restaurant was closed for renovations. We've stayed there in the past & loved that we could just go downstairs for a meal or drink.

The Grafton Inn was perfect for our moms' getaway trip! It's part of a quirky old building - and the grille was unavailable, remodeling, I think - but our room was very fresh and comfortable and much more spacious than we expected. Perfectly clean, easy to access (elevator), and as described. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This is a very interesting place to stay. The inn was built in 1805, according to Wikipedia. There are seven rooms on the third floor. The second floor is vacant, and the only thing on the first floor is a barbershop. That was convenient, I booked a needed shave with Erica down there. It’s a separate business, but I was pleased with the service, and Erica was very friendly. I did not see any hotel staff, the only interaction was thorough check-in instructions via text when I booked. There is coffee available in the hallway. The grill has been shut down for two years, from what I gather. I chose to get iced coffee from the Uncommon Cow, a little over minute walk to the north. They have excellent iced coffee, and also had breakfast sandwiches and baked goods ready to go, which I did not try. Overall, wouldn’t here again. I wouldn’t book a romantic getaway.

We enjoyed immensely our stay at the Grafton Inn, and will definitely stay there again. The owner, Jay, and the staff are kind, helpful, friendly. Absolutely loved our room, which was spacious and cozy, and beds are so comfortable. Loved the Lemongrass soaps and shampoo. Hunter's Grill Tap food and drink outstanding.

3rd floor Grafton room

Mattress was so-so. Shower was okay. Needs better lighting. Bathroom needs some improvements.

Grafton Inn and Taproom

This place should be closed down. It is verging on derelict. It needs some serious refurbishment before it is used as a hotel. The corridors are smelly with dirty carpets and stained ceilings. The bedrooms are large but grim. We stayed for one night but considered sleeping in the car! The restaurant had long closed down.

No sleep

NOT RECOMMENDED. The local bell tower next to the inn goes off every hour all night long. Do not expect to sleep. It is also not staffed and the building looks abandoned. The rooms are on the 3rd floor. No check in instructions were sent. I had to call the inn and got someone to tell me where to find the lock box. Very creepy for a solo traveler. No info inside the room & it seemed as no one else was checked in. At least there was heat & a comfy bed. Definitely not worth the price.

Really awful. Dingy. Sooo dark. Only two small lamps. Smelled.
Tricia, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The property looks a bit rundown, but everything worked well and our room was generally clean and comfortable. A new bathmat and a microwave in the room or another way to heat water for tea and coffee (we didn't trust the Keurig in the hall) would have improved the experience, but we did enjoy our stay and would stay again in the future.
Joseph, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

There are some remodeling work at the hotel, so no check in desk at all. Have to call by phone and they give you the code for key-lock where you can get the key for the room. The room was simple but clean and comfortable.
Francisco, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

The bed was so comfortable. The Tap House was awesome, great people and good entertainment. Everyone was very nice. This is a very old building so one should not expect pristine conditions. I just needed a place to sleep but had a great time. Would visit again with my husband

Nice location off village green w historic architecture. Hear the bells toll on the hour. Comfortable, reasonable, informal, unusual. Not your sterile generic hotel experience.
