This is a lovely part of Canada and this hotel is a perfect fit for the area. The hotel has lovely character and Guy is very good sociable host. The Chocolatier named rooms are nicely furnished and an included cooked breakfast is a plus. North Hatley is a lovely town to base yourself for exploring the Eastern Townships of Quebec.

Right in the heart of town, super convenient. Great breakfasts. The soap, shampoo and conditioner were low-end motel quality so we had to purchase some for our 4 night stay. We left a tip for the maid, they also added $7 per day tip for breakfast, and then when paying the final bill there was a screen to add 18% or higher to the total by way of extra tip. Never saw that before, not a fan. Anyhow, comfortable bed, friendly staff.

6/10 Good

North Hatley is a beautiful place, calm and sourounded by nature. The restaurant across the way, The Pilsen, is great and I would strongly recommend it. Our stay at the Auberge was ok, the room was exactly like the pictures, amenities as promised. Some parts need a bit of care, like the carpets on the stairs, but overall no complaints. The breakfast was good. My only recommendation: don't bother writing to the property because I don't think anyone reads it.
