This was our third visit here and we have noticed a steep decline in the property since our last visit 4 years ago. The room was very clean and the bathroom was beautiful. The kitchen staff was great. The other staff members were not exactly friendly. The restaurant was not open during the day or at night due to staffing issues. It was very disappointing to us as during our first two stays here we enjoyed spending time at the property having lunch and drinks by the pool. The pool deck was rotting away and there were spots where there were tripping hazards. The gym is tiny which is okay but there were not even any hand weights. The rest of the property is beautiful and the plants and birds add to the magical quietness of this property. I sincerely hope that they are able to work out their staffing issues and update their pool area. This has always been our happy place and I hope that it will continue to be in the future.

Pousada Casa de Maria is very pretty in the photos. It is very floral. But it is like being in a Prison Camp. You get a feeling of oppression, and clostrophobia. Plus all their rules. It is a pretty Hotel. The food is good. But the constant intrusion of the staff and owner. One time we were eating our meal at the table, and the staff told us to lift our plates and glasses so she could wipe the table. A total intrusion. You are trying to relax by the pool, which is more ornamental than functional, and the owner is carrying out constant maintenance, all day. Fussing around the plants and grass that your sun bed rest on. A normal hotel would have a sprinkler system. The owner has a sprayer bottle, (maybe 5 litres) tied to a two wheel shopping trolley, that she makes an over performance of pushing around the garden. This is her all day, daily ritual. All the staff carry out their jobs in a very slow way. No quick efficiency. Some of the reception staff, are not customer friendly. You can always escape to the beach and just use the hotel as somewhere to sleep. All in all. My opinion of this hotel is it is best avoided. Unless you like being treated like you are an inconvenience.

We will come back again and again.

This was our second time staying here and we were treated just as well as the first time. The owner and staff are absolutely wonderful. The property underwent some beautiful renovations since our last visit 4 years ago. It is absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautifully updated and very comfortable. Love the area and that it’s walkable to the beach and into town. The food and drinks were top notch too.

Desde a efetivação da reserva, a Casa de Maria fez contatos descrevendo funcionamento, regras, além de alertar sobre possíveis problemas em trechos da estrada. Ao chegar fomos recebidos com extrema gentileza - todos os colaboradores foram muito gentis e respeitosos! -, além de ficarmos bem impressionados com a estrutura da Pousada. A Pousada é excelente! Toda a equipe muito simpática, prestativa e profissional. Quarto impecável e espaço da piscina cercado de um jardim bem cuidado. Café da manhã excelente! A Pousada fica perto da praia e dá pra ir caminhando tranquilamente ao centro de Prado, que também é lindo. E se você tem pet, esse é o lugar certo.

O lugar e maravilhoso e acolhedor, mas o chek in atrasou 2h, e tem uma.demora pra limpar o quarto no dia seguinte. Podiam se organizar para limpar na parte da manha que o pessoal vai para a praia. A explicacao da YOlana na hora de observar a lua é maravilhosa, ela é muito boa. O que deixou a desejar foi a questao da demora mesmo pela limpeza
