Disappointing Room Service Policy
My stay at the Wyndham was otherwise great, except for one significant incident that I found unacceptable.
Typically, in a standard hotel (not an extended stay), I expect daily housekeeping. On our first morning, we left the room with the assumption that the beds would be made and the used towels (left on the floor) would be replaced. To our surprise, the room was not cleaned.
When I went to the front desk to request fresh towels and regular coffee K-cups, the interaction was frustrating. The staff member was unhelpful, and I had to insist on receiving these basic amenities.
I also inquired why our room hadn't been serviced, especially since the cleaning staff was right outside our door when we left that morning. I was told that guests must request cleaning every morning. I pointed out that there were no visible signs or notices indicating this policy. This unexpected requirement and the difficulty in getting simple service significantly detracted from our experience.
Except for this inconvenient policy and the poor customer service encountered at the desk, the stay itself was very good.
