My husband and I stayed just one night. The property obviously has so much history and character. The grounds are so beautiful. I can see it being an incredible place for weddings. The property is very clean and we had everything we needed. We slept very well. Unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool and tennis court like we wanted. September weather can be tricky for the pool with the leaves falling all the time. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Thank you very much.

The Blaylock Mansion is a one-of-a-kind experience. We rented the Presidential Suite for two nights. Two nights to give me a full day to feel like I’m living there. The Presidential Suite is a six hundred square foot room that feels more like an apartment. I felt like the Lord of the Manor. A memory that will last for a long time. The Mansion is fantastic, and owners Brett and Jennifer let you freely roam the Mansion as if it is your own. There are some restricted areas but very few. Built during the depression, the craftsmen in the area went all out in detail and quality. The windows are a big part of the look and feel of the Mansion, hardware used is functional and beautiful. The windows were designed and built to last a hundred years plus. The whole Mansion is solid and feels like it will stand forever. The grounds are equally impressive and maintained with a love of gardening. The lap pool was refreshing. Took an early morning dip just because I didn’t want to leave without getting in once. Thank you, Brett and Jennifer, for a wonderful experience, that truly exceeded my expectations. Jim Baker

The Blaylock mansion was such a unique and cool accommodation to stay at. It is conveniently located just 10 min away from the fun Baker street shopping hub but far enough away to enjoy the quiet lake side view. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and there was always great coffee ready with fresh fruit in the morning. The room was clean and quiet. Highly recommend staying here!
