If you're looking for a place to stay that is the exact opposite of a Hampton Inn, this is the place for you! We stayed in Cottage 2, which looks like a shack from the outside but inside it was the sweetest little cottage. It made me so happy. The wood stove was ready to light. There was a precious cribbage board, inscribed on the back; recent novels in the book rack; and everything you need to be comfortable. It's tiny and there's a circle route from the door through the kitchen, to the living room, the bedroom and back. As I walked around the place, I just smiled. So homey! The lake is right outside, and the walk down to the lighthouse is a good walk. We saw zillions of warblers and other birds. The woman who runs the place was terrific. Everything was easy. No long list of "don't do this, don't do that" that typifies AirBnB stays. A great experience overall and the highlight of our road trip through Ontario.
