Great place to stay for a more social experience

Had a great experience here, Very social and very friendly staff especially Jamir and Sophia the volunteer staff took me and other guests on a day tour around the city on their own time. My private room was clean for the most part and comfortable private accommodation. Breakfast was also well prepared and delicious.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in!!! Staff very helpful. The room was very clean and large. Loved the rooftop bar. Aera around the hostel very busy, it was a little loud only because there happened to be an event on the street right in front, if that hadn't been going on it would not have been. Great location! The rooftop night view was awesome. Overlooking the night lights of the Makati building is like New York's skyscrapers. The roof has 3 bars with a reasonable size but well catered for its purpose. The rooms are neat, and that bathroom was clean as Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas. The lobby is nicely laid out, and the cozy ambiance is its presence. The street outside is similar to urban streets in Japan and South Korea, and I would say it has an L.A. (Santa Monica) vibe. Down outside the hotel, a 3-minute walk will take you to restaurants, bars, and coffee places. Definitely a place to be back again to enjoy Makati at its best. Z HOTEL, thanks.

Not a place for you to sleep and rest.

I like Makati, but in my opinion, this hostel is located in Makati's worst location. Inside of the hostel is fine but the neighborhood is sketchy. Surrounded by bars. Very noisy!! I was there for 5 nights and I couldn't sleep well for 3 nights because from 11pm to 5am, a neighborhood bar played loud "music". The bass, BOOM,BOOM,BOOM was so loud !!! Terrible. I wanted to leave on the 3rd day, but unfortunately, since I booked at Hotel.com, it's nonrefundable. I stayed in a private room 303B (don't stay in that room, unless it's Monday when the bar is closed). The staff was nice enough to switch me to another room. Overall, it's the worst part of my 2 week trip, and I was so so so regret that I booked here because for almost the same price I paid ( single room but can sleep two people), I could've booked a much nicer hotel in a much better location. Will not go back again and I don't recommend to those who want a good sleep.

Helt ok ställe för sitt pris, ung personal.

Stannade här i två dagar. Fick två kort till rummet vid incheckning varav ett inte fungerade. När vi gick ner till receptionen för att åtgärda detta sa de att deras maskin inte fungerade för tillfället. Ett lyhört hostel med mycket ljud omkring men ok om man inte har några problem med att sova till ljud. Väldigt mysig rooftop. Och ett ok ställe för sitt pris ändå. Personalen är ung och stället drivs också av unga volontärer, märktes bland annat vid frukosten på bemötande och bristfälligt utbud som låg framme men fanns baktill.

Sejour horrible a l’auberge! Tous les soirs les boites de nuits de la porte a coté faisaient trembler les murs de notre chambre, les bass a fond, impossible de dormir avant 6h de matin meme avec des bouchons d’oreilles… Lorsque l’on demande au check in on nous dit qu’a 2h max ce sera terminé mais c’est faux!! Au reveil, le « all day breakfast » n’etait plus disponible a partir de 11h le matin. De plus lors de notre sejour un voisin de chambre s’est fait drogué et dépouillé toutes ses affaires dans sa chambre d’hotel! Un hotel a fuir!!

Positives: - comfortable bed - breakfast included though I only drank the coffee Negatives; - this dorm (and the 6 bed mixed) are in the 5th floor, there are 6 floors in total and the roof terrace - terrible music until 2am on a Monday, totally precluding sleep, even with earplugs

Pretty bummed not to see Simo working there anymore. He was always able to get people to hang out and good go to for information. Baby cockaroaches in the bathroom on floor 4. Elevator button doesn’t work to go to the 4th so you have to take it to 3 or 5 and walk up or down. Seems like it’s slippin.
