Don't stay here!

I highly suggest finding another spot to stay. Not sure how this place has an over 8 rating. Just pulling up to the place I got a creepy vibe. Pulled up around midnight on my way to Boise. There were people sitting out front of their rooms just watching people which wasn't comfortable feeling at all. The front desk lady was half awake and not present. The first room we got a key for wouldn't open, then a half naked guy answered the door and we were all startled. I apologized and let him know this was the room we were assigned, he said, you can still come in if you'd like....ewwwww. Went back to half awake lady and explained what happened. Got another room, #15, went there, opened the door, two people looked at me surprised as to why I was coming in their room in the middle of the night. How freaking embarrassing and horrifying! Went back to half awake lady and let her know I'll be leaving and would like a refund. Unfortunately this place was very 'hills have eyes' vibe of a place. Yes its cheap, but there's other places here that are inexpensive and way better to stay at! I'm truly amazed at the rating this place has. Very deceiving. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. The front desk lasy wasn't even apologetic about what was happening, just weird

Disappointing

Unlike our prior stay this was a disappointment. Heater didn’t work (yes I followed their directions) so the room was very cold; high 20’s outside. Since they use Starlink the number of internet connections is limited; hence we were kicked off every minute. I called the front desk from my cell (room phone is inop) and she said the Starlink is fine as she has access. So… the night front desk is probably streaming yet we have no service; nice. I went to the front desk in the morning to tell her about the heater but no one was there (waited 5 min). I really liked the Town House Motel as it was well maintained and friendly service - not anymore. Really unfortunate.

Our room was not clean. There were hairs in the bed, seemingly from previous guests, so we had to sleep on top of the bed in sleeping bags we happened to have in our car. There were lots of stains on the chairs from "who knows what," so I didn't even want to sit in them. The owner was willing to accommodate our late arrival, as we were traveling by car through inclement weather so it was slow going and we arrived at about 11PM. It was so late and we were so exhausted, we decided to tough it out there instead of looking for a different hotel. In the morning when we left, I let her know that our bed was dirty and she apologized, saying her housecleaner is usually really good. We were the ONLY guests staying there.

This hotel is an older hotel which is expected in Winnemucca, however the staff was super friendly and accommodating (our key stopped working and they got it fixed and apologized for it not working later in the evening). The cost to stay at this hotel is very reasonable if it is a quick stop through the town OR there for hunting(which we were doing both). Clean sheets, bed was comfortable, heat in the room and running water 👍

The price was very economical (cheap) but the room was super clean, the manager couldn’t have been more polite. I’ll be staying here every trip to Winnemucca

Great highway morel

My 3rd stay in as many weeks. Is a convenient, inexpensive motel for me on I-80. Check in is quick and efficient, parking is plentiful, typical motel, park outside your door (unless pulling a trailer, room out front on street) Bed is comfortable, heater works well, shower is good. Bathroom amenities are basic but cover all basic needs. Overall cleanliness is good (rooms are older but in good shape) So far all the rooms I have stayed in have had a refrig and a micro as well as a single serve coffee pot. 2 restaurants in walking distance for dinner as well as a convenience store/gas station next door makes it a convenient location as well. Happy Trails!!

Decent highway motel

My 2nd stay here. Check in was smooth as always. My rooms shower wouldn’t drain and tv wasn’t cooperating. Dawn was great, switched the room quickly and very helpful. Happy I caught her before she went home. Friendly and helpful! Good job Dawn!! Not a resort property but perfect for overnight travelers. Hot shower comfy bed!

Great stay in Winnemucca for highway stopover

Check in went quickly and efficiently. Received recommendations for walking distance restaurant. Room is clean and comfortable. Quiet area off the main road. Able to park my truck and trailer in front. Good value for money and good nights rest! Thank you

Good basic motel

The good: nice part of town, felt safe, easy parking and unloading, not crowded, quiet, clean, comfortable bed (especially for such a low cost motel), great rates. The not so good: The heater barely works. I’m not even sure if it actually works or if my boot dryer and heated blanket were doing all the actual heat generation. The shower is a bit more like a hose, but it is kinda hot on max setting and gets the job done. Bottom line: I would stay here again as long as I was prepared to deal with the cold. I feel like I got good value for my money.

2/10 Mediocre

We arrived after making a reservation online. With 2 very sick people. We wanted to check in early, but the lady at the desk refused, saying there were no clean rooms. She was correct. This is a motel with all outside doors. We waited 4 hours in the parking lot to check-in a 3 pm. No one ever came out to clean any rooms. Once in the room there were crumbs in the sheets in the 1st bed and toenail clippings on the 2nd. The heater is a radient heat and took forever to get warm for those running a fever. The electrical was sketchy for the lights beside the bed which was wired into a small box that was disgustingly dirty and if you bumped it the lights flickered.
