One of the most amazing aspects of our stay was meeting Erni, who greeted us when we walked into the reception area. Her face lit up smiling and she knew our names, not sure how so I’m guessing she looked us up in advance on the internet or something. Anyway, it was a nice surprise. When we told her that the next day we will miss being able to get breakfast because we have to leave at 7:30am for a reserved outdoor activity, she offered to prepare a special private breakfast for us at 7:00am. There were five of us (my husband, two adult daughters, son in-law and myself), and she said no problem. The next morning when we arrived in the dining room, she had prepared a feast on a table nicely decorated and set. We couldn’t believe the variety and portions that she prepared. There was a large platter full of sliced meats & cheeses, separate fruit bowls of freshly cut pineapple, grapes, plums, a basket full of different breads, buns, croissants filled with chocolate-mmm to die for, carafes of juices, a pitcher of coffee, and lastly freshly cooked scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon in a large cast iron pan that would be enough to feed 10 people. We were all in awe with the delicious breakfast, and we felt that we were treated like royalty. Erni was very friendly, and went over the top accommodating our schedule. We booked 2 rooms and it was very nice being right next to each other. We loved the extra private room in the back where one of my daughters stayed. It was perfect.

Beautiful hotel with excellent breakfast and dinners included. Very clean. Only negative was that smoking is allowed on balconies, which gets into the other rooms when windows are open. Hotel should be fully non-smoking.

We booked a suite that accommodates four adults（1 king bed and 2 Twins bed）， at the time of booking, my father-in-law was unsure he could join us or not，He only decided to come and bought his ticket in the final week before the trip. However, when we arrived, the hotel claimed that our reservation was for three adults and charged us an additional €70 per night. This was the first time I’ve ever heard of being charged extra while still staying within the room’s stated capacity! We also had dinner at the hotel, which turned out to be the most expensive meal of our whole trip 3 main crouses no Appetizer no dessert cost 199 €!

Wir hatten 7 Nächte im Hotel Sommerhof gebucht und waren insbesondere vom Zimmer enttäuscht. Die Juniorsuite Lökkermoos war abgewohnt, farblich und technisch auf dem Stand der 2000er: altes Bad mit Duschwanne, abgewetztes Bett und Möbel, Terrasse mit defekten Fliesen, Steckdosen Mangelware. Dazu kam ein permantes Brummen von dem Poolbereich darunter und ein leckende Toilette. Das Restaurant ist modern, aber leider viel zu kleinem Buffet mit wenig Auswahl. Auch qualitativ leider weit weg von "Glück am Gaumen". Nudeln waren angetrocknet, Lasagne zerkocht. Auch das Frühstückbuffet war viel zu klein für die vielen Gäste, beliebte Speisen waren vergriffen. Das machen andere 4* Hotels wesentlich besser. Der Poolbereich ist kleiner als die Bilder auf der Website suggerieren. Damit zum Hauptkritikpunkt: Die Website verspricht, was das Hotel nichthalten kann, die Bilder sind sehrvorteilhaft gemacht. Auf die Mängel angesprochen wurde uns ein (renoviertes) Zimmer ohne Balkon zur Strasse angeboten, welches aber zu klein füruns drei war. Kulanterweise wurde eine Rückerstattung der verbliebenden Nächte ermöglicht. Vielen Dank dafür. Fazit: Preis/Leistung stimmt leider nicht, Versprechen der Website nicht gehalten. Schade.

Det var ikke et værelse med 2 soveværelser på trods af beskrivelsen på hotels.com. De 2 af sovepladserne var i en trækasse lige ved siden af dobbeltsengen. Absolut ikke til en familie med en voksen søn ! Derudover var værelset lille og indelukket.

호텔은 무난했어요. 수영장과 사우나가 있었으나 이용할 시간 부족으로 사용 못했구요. 조식은 맛있었구요. 체크인하고 할슈타트를 가볍게 다녀왔는데 아주 좋았어요. 20-25분쯤 걸려요. 이 호텔을 택한이유는 고사우 호수를 가기위함이였는데 정말 꼭 추천드립니다. 호텔 주위 산 풍경을 보시면 고사우 호수 느낌이 오실거에요.

Wunderschon - exceeds expectation in every way...

Great location for Hallstatt visit, Gosausee, Dachstein glacier and five fingers - not to mention the multiplicity of walking trails. Wonderful friendly helpful staff - everyone and everywhere. Free soft drinks 24 hrs, free parking, and good fast broadband. Free caffee and kuchen every afternoon. Swim in / out pool from spa open all year, smallish but big enough. And a hot tub... Great indoor and outdoor play areas for kids which are not intrusive. Breakfast great variety and always replenished. Evening meals buffet and a la carte great High Austrian cuisine. We loved it - it exceeded all our expectations. Teaches UK four star what four star should be and beats them hands down. Wunderschon - do not miss out on this hidden gem - go. - the norm for Austria.

Picked the “2 bedroom” room -the room was a slightly larger than average hotel room stuffed with extra beds-over priced in my opinion -the restaurant had 3 entrees to chose from and a small buffet-we went down the street to eat because of no vegetarian options-waiter said they were to busy to accommodate us!!!
