Had a lovely stay here...we popped into Lund in-between longer stays in Copenhagen and Malmö, and found the Bishops Arms to be very well located, clean, and well-appointed, with a friendly staff and delicious included breakfast. Our room was directly above the pub on the second floor and had a lovely, newly renovated bathroom. The windows blocked out the noise from the street below very well. The breakfast had a lot of options and we actually wound up eating dinner at the pub, and it was quite good (it was also trivia night, which proved to be great fun, even though it was in Swedish)...incredible value.

This hotel sits above a bar, so no amenities but the rooms are really nicely kept and newly renovated, the bathroom was brand new and spacious and clean. Rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast was buffet in the bar. No amenities, you may be able to leave your suitcase in the bar for storage but nobody is manning it. If you’re just looking for a place to stay the rooms are comfortable and clean and worth the stay!

All good but our room was a bit weird: in the basement and with a direct view of our bed from the busy sidewalk outside the hotel. Breakfast hours were too restrictive for our travel plans (needed to leave by 8am on a Sunday) so we didn’t have a chance to try the breakfast.

The room was comfortable but no storage space I.e. no draws for clothes or bathroom cabinets. Also returned at 23.00 one night to find no one to help find our room as there was no direct access to our third floor room. Apart from these two minor grumbles it was good value for money and ideally placed with a more than satisfactory breakfast

Very clean room, very comfortable bed. Suitably warm for winter (cold outside). Excellent breakfast. However fridge in room did not work. I know room ridges are not all that common in Europe, but almost standard in similar hotels in Europe and always in Japan. Entrance to hotel is very difficult with luggage, but I realize because of location in "old town" difficult to do anything about.

Part of the hotel is newly opened in a newly renovated adjoining building. I never stayed there. I have stayed in the old building. It has a pub open every day. A large beer selection on tap and the selection of food is well prepared. The rooms are very different (different sizes mainly, which can be selected in expedia when reserving. Most furniture is old-style, like the rooms, (not modern) but gives a nice "atmosphere". Beds new and comfortable. A very few rooms are special with micro and fridge, best to ask hotel directly for those rooms if needed. Also at least one room has a very nice sauna. Bathrooms I have seen/used are quite new and modern all tiled. Location is excellent 200m from railway station (no noise from trains), next to many restaurants and the small center of town and some university buildings, and several museums are within walking distance others reachable by tram (100m away, pay by credit card). Tram line is recently opened just to provide access to University and some very big international science complexes north of town center.

I had a very bad stay at the hotel in August. I was repeatedly stuck outside at night coming back from dinner and events because the gate would not open. Conversations with staff at the sister location were tiresome (and the intercom was not working properly). Eventually, I got back in, but not before waiting outside for a full hour the last night. This is completely unacceptable! Messages to the hotel afterwards have gone completely unanswered, it is as if they are simply not interested in feedback. I’ve stayed at the hotel several times in the past, but will never rebook unless they show signs of improvement.

Nice clean modern room, great bathroom. Only wish that the staff had showed the right way to the "new section" of the hotel so we could find our way to the room outside of the pub's opening hours. Had to call a service number several times before they answered, and eventually a security guard was sent to assist.
