A lovely hotel within walking distance of downtown Kingston and the waterfront. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights whilst on a road trip around Ontario and Quebec and absolutely loved the place. The rooms are beautifully decorated with incredibly comfortable beds and good sized bathrooms. The breakfast was excellent perfect for starting off the day. The staff were excellent when we checked in we were given some recommendations for good places to eat and check out in Kingston. They have limited onsite parking but you can park on the road outside or in the public car park across the street so you’ll never struggle to find somewhere to park.

The breakfast was excellent. The various stations i.e. coffee, main, condiment worked extremely well for traffic flow. The cooked breakfast was a great option and very reasonably priced. The food was well prepared and the baked goods were fresh and tasty. Our room was clean, spacious and had all the necessary conveniences. Thank you to all the staff. Most certainly would recommend the Inn and stay there again.

Loads of character in this old inn. Much more charming than staying in a regular hotel. Staff were great and the 'continental breakfast' was a step above the normal 'bun and coffee' offered at other hotels.

The hotel is nice and the room was clean and the staff were relatively friendly. Breakfast was basic but good. There is no soundproofing of any sort and you can hear exactly what is going on in the room next to you, which makes it quite uncomfortable unfortunately. We only stayed 1 night, but I wouldn't stay longer due to the sounds coming from other rooms. There was no parking space so we had to park in the car park across the road. It was a Sunday so parking was free and we were planning to leave at 11.00 on Monday and hoped we could pay parking the night before to start at 8am on Monday but that was not possible. It was a bit annoying to have to wake up at 8am to go out and pay for parking.

Lived and worked down the street at another popular Sydenham st b&b for years but I cannot believe it took me so long to see the Hochelaga. Certainly the hotel is 'quaint' and charming, but falls short on upkeep and basic amenities that make it suitable for business travel. It claims there is parking, but there are so few spots that I was forced to park in a public lot across the road which required payment in the early morning. There is no coffee service in the room (which means getting dressed and walking to the lobby for morning coffee). Furthermore, the blinds on the street-facing windows did not function and the room was cold. Sadly, my experience would indicate that this is not a hotel to stay in if you travel often or are seeking a premium relaxing experience, but is a great option if you're touring Kingston and looking for an opportunity to experience the old-town on foot. Just "manage your expectations accordingly"
