San Nicolas is a cozy, comfortable and clean hotel on the outskirts of the old city center. It has the charm of an old spanish stone house. The staff, restaurant-next door, room fridge, Dia around the block were all great amenities. Just take notice that there is no water kettle (for coffee/tea in the morning), and its a 15-20 min walk to cathedral and tour buses.

Comfortable, good location for the historic town

This is a small family run hotel. It’s a 10 minute walk into the old town and 15 minute walk to the train station. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned everyday. The hotel does not offer food but there is a restaurant next door and lots of cafes nearby. Parking is in a 24 hour underground parking lot about a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is an historic building but sympathetically renovated. Pilgrims walk past the hotel on the way to the cathedral so if you are undertaking the pilgrimage this is a good choice.

Beautiful historic building that has been meticulously maintained. Alejandro truly goes above and beyond to look after guests and make sure their stay is perfect. The hotel is a little outside of the historic center, but the short walk is worth it. Would recommend / stay again.

Location was a bit away from historic center but not an issue. The location does not have 24-hour front desk but Alejandro was incredibly helpful and very friendly, mi tocayo. The property is very charming and you will not have a run of the mill experience you do with hotels which is refreshing. Although you can clearly hear when other guests come in late at night, I would describe the property as quiet and inviting to rest. Bed was comfortable and property is clean. I did not eat at the restaurant next door but it looked very nice and the courtyard is beautiful!

I had a second floor room with a private bath. The room overlooked to courtyard with the restaurant across the way. It was nice to sit with a glass of wine at night. Short walk to the cathedral. I would certainly recommend San Nicolas to anyone who asked.

The hotel and room were charming. My only complaint is that the hotel is at the bottom of a steep, long street up to the cathedral and center of town. For anyone not in prime physical shape the walk is not a pleasant experience.

En Hoteles.com decía que tenía estacionamiento, y no es así, el estacionamiento gratuito queda a unos minutos a pie, y es público. Nos hubiera gustado tener desayuno, es lo único que le hizo falta. La propiedad está un poquito lejos del centro, pero nada grave, lo tomamos pensando que tenía estacionamiento, pero el hotel es muy bonito por dentro, el dueño muy amable. La zona carece de restaurantes o comercio solo hay uno precisamente al lado del hotel, pero es como de lujo y de reservaciones, Pero Santiago es chiquito y en 10 minutos ya está uno en el centro.
