Just a beautiful and quiet chateau. Impeccably clean. We stayed in the nuptial suite and enjoyed the view from the sitting area in the turret. Dinner and breakfast were well done. The grounds had lilacs in flower and fragrant tulip trees.

Wow what a lovely château, lovely superb setting

Superb chateau, ok breakfast could have had a cooked option (like scrambled eggs), lovely location for the view and peacefulness. We had the tower room which was lovely, lush sitting outside looking at the views or at the chateau. Fine dining but im a bit fussy with my food.

This is a fabulous place and we loved our 2 day stay. The staff were great on the whole but could have sold us a lot more wine if they had wanted to. However we really liked the laid back vibe. It's extremely dog friendly and the food was exceptional. We will definitely come back. The cleanliness was generally good but the massive old building must be hard to maintain and keep clean.. The views are amazing and the history fascinating. There are many interesting war monuments nearby. The Tranchées de Soif was moving. Real trenches still there from WWI.

Hattonchatel

Very quirky lovely old chateau, but that is where the fun stops. Check in almost impossible, you are made to feel very unwelcome, hard to get in past the big locked steel gates. Parking abysmal, in a muddy field outside locked property no good for low sportscars, damaged my front splitter trying to get off road, owner not interested one bit. Service terrible, food choice terrible, very dusty old and tired, would not stay again.

Dead bugs all over the window sills in the room. Bathroom was in hallway outside of room. Above the room was a private residence with young men running up and down the stairs outside the room until well after midnight. No help from staff when bell was rung at the entry gate. Complex key did not work. Was allowed to bring our dog but it could not enter the restaurant areas. Yet a cat was allowed to roam around the dining room.

Bonjour, Nous souhaitons vous faire part de notre retour concernant notre séjour à l’Hôtel de Hattonchâtel. Malheureusement, celui-ci n’a pas totalement répondu à nos attentes, notamment au regard du prix que nous avons payé. Plusieurs points nous ont déçus : L’absence de climatisation, qui nous a particulièrement gênés compte tenu du tarif de la chambre. Une odeur d’égout assez désagréable, présente à la fois dans la chambre et à l’extérieur. Le service à table, qui nous a semblé manquer d’attention et de rigueur. Une erreur sur la facture : deux plats de bœuf à 45 € avaient été comptabilisés au lieu d’un seul. Cette erreur a heureusement été rectifiée après notre réclamation. Une bouteille de vin blanc que nous avions commandée n’a jamais été servie. Nous avons finalement demandé son annulation. Enfin, nous avons été surpris de constater que très peu de membres du personnel parlaient français, alors que nous séjournions en France. Nous tenons toutefois à souligner un point très positif : le cadre est véritablement magnifique. L’environnement et le charme du lieu sont indéniablement les grands atouts de cet établissement. Nous espérons que ces remarques pourront être prises en considération afin d’améliorer l’expérience des futurs clients. Bien cordialement,

Hyggeligt renoveret danskejet slot med masser af historie omkranset af fantastisk fllot udsigt over området. Tæt på mindesmærkerne vedr. Verdun Dejligt værelse selvom det var UDEN tv. Flot restaurant. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen!
