I would like to recommend this hotel because of the experiences I lived here during my stay. I booked a whale watching tour and the following day I saw the whale from the comfort of my hotel room. The hotel itself is cozy, clean, warm and I had my room being looked after daily (tea, coffee, towels). Be prepared to sit at breakfast table with other guests and share the travel experience, as the restaurant is quite small. Enough breakfast options to fuel the day. Walkable distance from town centre, bus station and even airport if you're keen.

The room was really tiny. The bathroom is to tiny that it’s impossible to even change inside. The shower can’t even bend down to wash legs.

This is a decently appointed albeit on the small side accommodation. We got stuck in Egilstaddir for a few hours with the closure of the Ring Road segment connecting to Akureyri. We pushed our Hotel Akureyri check in for a day thinking that we might have to spend another night in Egilstaddir. The hotel was very accommodating due to the circumstance. When the road opened back up, we rushed up the mountains and headed to Akureyri. We showed up after 7 PM and the owner (I believe it was) received us and changed our check in dates back to our original booking. No hassles. What great hospitality! The property is a short walk to town proper and within easy walkable access to restaurants. I strongly recommend Eyja and their delicious Nordic cuisine. I will stay at Hotel Akureyri when I’m back in these parts of Iceland. I will time it with their restaurant’s open days. It’s amazing that they grow their own veggies in one of the buildings close to the hotel. Very sustainable. I love that about the place. And the view of the bay is defunct a huge plus. It was refreshing waking up to the bay view as the rising sun clears through the fog. Very memorable mornings!!!

Hôtel très bien placé pour aller en ville et marcher sur la balade. Intérieur superbe avec une magnifique déco à l’ambiance Chaleureuse. Happy hour en soirée. Restauration possible mais on conseille les kebab de chez Malik au top. La chambre double qu’on avait été propre et le lit très confortable mais petite et très mal aérée. Une nuit c’est ok plus il faut prendre une chambre plus grande. Petit déjeuner très bien.

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Hotel in zentraler Lage.✅ Zentrum mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants fußläufig erreichbar.❤️ Mitarbeiterinnen am Check-In sehr sehr freundlich!❤️ Mitarbeiterinnen des Zimmerservice eher wortkarg. ❌ Frühstücksbuffet klein aber von sehr guter Qualität.❤️ Frühstücksraum sehr klein aber dadurch auch sehr gemütlich (sofern im Hotel nimmt viel los ist).❤️ Mitarbeiterin des Zimmerservice leckt Servierlöffel am Frühstücksbuffet ab (No-Go).⛔️ Laundry leider immer noch außer Betrieb.❌ Appartement und Superior-Zimmer sehr schön und sauber.❤️ Würde ich es nochmal buchen? Bestimmt!
