This motel was very clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. The staff were quite friendly. The only complaint I would have would be with the parking. There are cement posts (holding the top seck up) in some of the parking spots, so it was a challenge to park, and there are smoking areas right outside some of the rooms. I would like to have had a smoking area away from the doors to the rooms, maybe on the side of the motel. We had to walk through a cloud of smoke to get to our rooms. Overall, this wouldn't deter me from staying here again - which will be this fall!

Great location, easy access via bus or car into downtown Halifax and close to Chain of Lakes Parkrun. Nice 5k circular run or walk right out of the door and round the lake. Check out local businesses D & Jo’s bakery for great coffee and North Brewing Co for beer and food.

Check in took a long time, got charged and refunded several different times, made it hard to keep track of what nights I paid for, 2 out of the 6 staff I seen were nice, blankets had burn holes in them so I went out and bought my own, fairly clean room but definitely needs some upgrades.
