8/10 Very good

A fabulous accommodation in a lovely spot We paid extra for the king room The view was so relaxing and we were fortunate enough to have a great sunrise next morning The bed and linens were so comfortable we wish we were staying longer than 1 night The shower was very nice however I in particular was worried about the water going everywhere as it didn’t have any screens Also the kettle coffee and toaster machines were in the same area at the other end of the bathroom which wasn’t the best place and felt a little odd However we would definitely stay again and Alison was very helpful we our on onward journey

6/10 Good

The hotel was nice enough. The room was clean and spacious and they kindly upgraded us at no extra charge. There was tea and coffee provided, with free milk in the fridge and a minibar to use (at extra charge). The shower was really nice and powerful and hot water was good, one day it didn’t work properly but otherwise ok. The bed was very comfortable. The sheets were slightly strange folded around a duvet rather than having an actual duvet cover but it was warm and clean. The hotel was well located with everything in walking distance. Despite recently being renovated, the room felt quite dated still. Windows and doors were very old and the bathroom tiles etc had peeling paint. There was a cubical style set up for the toilet and shower. Overall, I would stay again for a night or two if I needed, but I’m not sure I would recommend to a friend.
