Good price for the area

8/10 Very good

Check-in was easy. No hairdryer available anywhere. Bathroom sink very very slow to drain. Road noise at night was very light, which was a nice thing. Location was very good

Clean, spacious, comfortable basic motel room at a great price. Walking distance to downtown. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Would be nice to have ice available on premises.

This is one of the most beautiful and underrated Hotel that I have stayed in. You guys do a terrific job with communication wise. I really loved everything with respect to the hotel. I am glad that you take care of the guests so well. Thank you for doing a terrific job. You have gone above and beyond for meeting customer service and price point wise. A hidden gem in Durango!!!

Wapiti is a hidden gem! Diamond in the ruff!

The housekeeping crew were awesome! Sam, the guy running the front desk, needs a little work on his people skills. Other than that, the property needs work and updates it was adequate and comfortable.
Christina, 1-night trip

Relatively Clean and Comfortable.

Room was relatively clean and comfortable. Bed was quite comfortable. A bit run-down. Funky odor in kitchen area. Lower priced for the area. You get what you pay for.
Robert, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The Wapiti Lodge was very old and in rather bad shape. Somehow they did a very good job of keeping the room clean. The adjacent highway noise could not be heard in the room. It was very inexpensive compared to everywhere else in the high season in Durango.
edward, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

A basic place for the night: no breakfast, no pool, no other amenities particularly. Nice to park right in front of your room though.
Lucia, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

I like the location, and stayed here years ago but it is now a run down property, AC ran all night and did not cool down room much at all, mattress was lumpy and had several interesting ridges in it, TV was grainy picture, but shower worked good.
Kevin, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Different but kind of neat with no contact check in. Room was nice but NOT clean! Floor was awful which made me worried about sheets etc. bed wasn’t very comfortable nor were the pillows
Amanda, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The rooms had been updated, but otherwise this was a weak example of the trend to contactless lodging. Basic information about the room and facilities could only be accessed after check-in through a password secured website. The television was inoperable. (A lengthy explanation in the restricted access FAQ implied that it was my fault that the television wouldn't function, but actually they just didn't provide the remote and the the TV itself had no manual controls.) Any requests for assistance were channeled to an AI bot. I don't mind, and in some cases have actually enjoyed, the contactless hotel experience. But in this case it was very poorly executed.
Scott, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Walls were damaged tub was cracked and dirty bed was very uncomfortable tv remote did not work well i got 2 rooms the other one was nice
Thomas, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Holes in the door, things were broken in the room. We have stayed there many times over the last 4 years and always loved this cute little motel…but this time it looks like it hasn’t been taken care of. No longer will be on our list of hotels in the area

Girls getaway

DO not judge a book by its cover. This place is starting to shape up. The outside of the place is very deceiving. The have really put in a lot of work to this place and hopefully they continue. Looks rundown from the outside, but let me tell you the inside is completely remodeled. Very clean and renovated. No carpets, all new vinyl "wood" floors, new showers and very spacious. Especially the units in the back. Felt very safe and quiet. WOuld definitely stay there again.
Nancy, 1-night trip

Clean & Comfortable.

Clean, comfortable and basic. Room looked to have been recently renovated. Might have been a work in progress. Walls were bare. Add hair dryer, iron and ironing board. No recycling provisions.
Robert, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Just don't even think about staying here? One of the worst experience ever. Room service and rooms are very poor!
Varian, 1-night trip

Diamond in the rough

At first I wasn't sure about my choice. We had a room on the second floor and we needed to use a back alley to get there. (There was a row of used toilets beside the alley) The good news is that the toilet in the room was brand new! There's a kitchen, some basic tools for cooking and a lot of space in the room. Overall I'm really happy with this motel.
Pierre-Olivier, 1-night trip

Bedbugs everywhere

First room had bedbugs. Owner/operator offered discount?!? Offered another room further down the compound and guess what, more bedbugs. I received refund. Took pictures of them critters as well as hair and other thing on seams of mattresses. He reluctantly acknowledged the bugs but at that point just wanted the issue to be over I informed his that I would summarize this experience on this app. He stated he didn’t care. So there you have it.
Paul, 2-night trip

Ive given my feed back several times already with no satisfaction. We had no tv,microwave coffee maker or refrigerator. Called the on site worker with mo help. The restroom was slso dirty. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED.
