Great Solo Ski Trip

It was a great stay with fantastic access to the mountain. They even helped me out of a tough situation when I got on the wrong bus that sent me in the opposite direction of where I meant to go. Would definitely recommend.

As great as the last time I visited in 2019. I waited for four years to come back (mostly because of the pandemic) and again had a great vacation here. Fully relaxed and rejuvenated in this trip. We booked this hotel for our honeymoon without much research. It was perfect as it was ski in, ski out and right in the centre of town. We went beginning do December which was great for us as you didn’t need to book restaurants and the slopes were quite. However a lot of the runs were just opening or not opened. The only downfall is because some of the rooms are apartments there were a lot of family’s staying so it was pretty noisy at times.

The rooms were spacious and came with a furnished kitchen. There was a separate room for the beds and they had a small dining area as well as a lounging area. The room we booked had a great view of Mt. Yotei as well! The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the center of Hirafu where a lot of the restaurants are located. The ski valet is on the second floor of the hotel and it is just a short walk to the King Gondola. You are able to ski right to the entrance to the ski valet of the hotel after a skiing, which made it very convenient. You could also leave your skis and boots at the valet in the middle of the day to take a break before going back out for night skiing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The concierge was very helpful with booking complimentary rides to and from the Hirafu Welcome Center, which is where the shuttle buses drop off/pick up passengers. They were also very prompt with their emails about any inquiries. The onsen was very clean and not super busy. The hotel provides a complimentary private onsen session, but we didn't feel the need to use it as the onsen was never crowded.

Lovely stay

We stayed 3 nights in Ki Niseko Hotel in a mini one bedroom apartment with a view of Mount Yotei this summer. The hotel was in a great location, walkable to restaurants in town and opposite our favourite town coffee shop in Rhythms where they made great coffee, fresh smoothies and veggie sausage rolls! We enjoyed the hotel and the space and amenities in the room, but found the town during the early summer months too quiet, with minimal restaurants, shops, bars and cafes open which was such a shame as the countryside around was beautiful. Ski lifts weren’t open yet so we couldn’t use them to walk in the hills and mountains surrounding the resort. We noticed the summer season starts July 19th so I imagine after then more would be open. The area is positioned well for hiking and exploring, you will definitely need a car. The hotel has a nice onsite restaurant which we ate in once and enjoyed the food (minimal vegetarian options however). Breakfast was ok, a little limited in Western options. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a good hotel and would recommend if staying in the area for a short break.
