We spent 3 days at this hotel with a family. The location was great, close to Taksim square. The staff and service was excellent, Very friendly and accommodating, specially Hotel manager, Mr Farhan went out of his way and helped treating us like his own family, in arranging wheel chair for my mother and providing comfortable room.

To start with, the staff and their support were excellent. However, things start falling apart when it comes to the maintenance and the overall cleanliness of the property. The hotel was clean, space-y, and comfortable. The location was perfect since it’s a 5 minute walk from bus stops and the metro. However, at night the pubs around us got very loud and they woke us up the first night. But the second night the hotel management upgraded our room to the last floor, and we no longer heard the noise the second day. From that day everything was perfect and i really loved the view from the top floor. Thank you! This is an hotel i would definitely come back to if i go back to Istanbul

The property is not at all as advertised on expedia so do not be fooled to book based on how it looks in images. As you enter the reception, is is small and filled with smoke smell, the lift hardly fits 2, the rooms are filthy and have smell of smoke, if you suffer from breathing issues you can not last in this hotel for too long. Our room has left over stuff from previous visitors and floors were dirty and filthy. Bedsheet torn and dirty towels in toilets. We booked the hotel for three days but could not last there for too long and checked out the very next day. The hotel is not accommodating in issuing a refund so be mindful if you plan booking this hotel. Also its not family friendly, when we returned back to room after dinner, the lobby was blocked by 2 men and there was a party going on in the suite next to lobby. Br very careful when you book this hotel, we were deceived by the images and reviews on expedia.

We had a very comfortable stay at Taximist. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had an afternoon nap before catching a late night flight which was possible thanks to good curtains and soundproofing. The buffet breakfast is excellent.
