Very clean hotel in a quiet location. Close to the shopping district and the freeway/exits. While the room was small, the bed was comfortable, we felt safe, and having the fire pit lit every night for us was very nice. It was just my son and I, but we would stay here again.

Great motel! Loved the location right on the beach with good view of the bridge. Fire pits every night and free smores kits were a great perk! Also had cookies at check-in. Rooms were spacious with great views! The trolley for the ferry even comes to the motel to pick you up! Overall, a great stay!

The stay was wonderful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Always greeted with a smile. Aside from the construction that was going on the road across all the hotels and inns. The stay overall was great! Breakfast was great and always nice and stocked. The fires pits in the evenings and s’mores were a great way to socialize with other guest and relax from the days events. I will highly recommend staying here! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

They were so kind to upgrade me to a waterfront room :) nice views!!! Clean bathroom area, great to have fridge, coffee maker ( tasty coffee packets too!!) great hot breakfast!!!! The downside was the bedding looked 40 yrs old and the carpet looked dirty - so I would give this place a solid 7 star

We stayed in 2021 and the couple that runs the hotel are just as friendly now as they were then. The beds are super comfortable, the view is amazing, and the breakfast is really delicious. We love the bonfires at night and enjoy the smores while watching the sunset. It also offers a perfect view to the fireworks. You can see the ones from the bridge, the island, and ST Ignis.

This place was awful! The room smelled musty and moldy and the bathroom smelled like sewer gases. The toilet lid would not stay up so I had to physically hold it up to use it. The beds were hard and the pillows harder.

The stay at the Clearwater Lakeshore was very enjoyable. This resort sits right on the lake with a good view of the Mackinac Bridge in a distance. Although it was way too cold to use the kayaks, it was very tempting. Each night a staff pedson filled the multiple fire rings with wood, lit them and came around offering forks and all that was needed for S'mores. Very nice. The hot breakfast was good. And although the dining space was crowded, it was still a value added feature. Had the weather been warm, we would've eaten outdoors.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I think the website description needs to emphasize that upstairs rooms are walkup with no elevators. Also the bedroom needs blackout curtains like the living room. To much light gets thru day and night. Night has the outside lights showing all night, daylight comes thru the blinds and with early light, it wakes you up.

I’ve stayed here twice and it gets better everytime! It’s a quiet and nicely kept hotel close to downtown with a gorgeous view of the bridge. All the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

My draw to stay here was the bonfires on the beach and s'mores. Upon arrival, we were told the their load of firewood for the season had not arrived yet so no fires in the barrels for our stay. Room had a strong smell. Breakfast doesn't offer anything good.
