Overall, we had a nice stay. The rooms were cute and cozy, and the hotel is just steps from the beach, which was very convenient and made it easy to enjoy the beautiful setting.
There were just a few small issues. The room door didn’t fully close and had a small gap, and there were also some openings near the ceiling and bathroom screens. The area is very humid and there are quite a few mosquitoes around.
Service at the front desk could also be improved. The receptionist didn’t feel very friendly or helpful. When we asked about booking activities like snorkeling or a romantic dinner, we were simply told it wasn’t possible without much assistance or alternatives.
Still, the cozy rooms and the great location near the beach made the stay enjoyable overall.

We had a fantastic stay at Phi Phi Relax over Christmas. The staff put on a fantastic holiday show with a huge buffet, dancing and an amazing fire show. The hotel felt like an untouched sliver of Koh Phi Phi to relax at with a beautiful beach.
The food was good every day, with great fresh fruit for breakfast; and a wide selection for lunch and dinner. We had the fresh grilled fish one night which was a highlight. The bar had good drinks, Thai iced tea and their bottles of wine were good.
The views from the room were the best and we really enjoyed laying out in our patio listening to the waves and seeing the view. We even saw monkeys on the beach on our last day.
We hiked from the hotel up to the view points. The hike was challenging but good, highly recommend long sleeves and bug spray as there were a lot of mosquitos.
We’ll fondly remember our stay at Phi Phi Relax and thank you to the incredible staff for making our stay so welcoming!

We went a family of four, two children 7 and 9 who where good swimmers and used to camping and wildlife.
We really loved this place. The staff was very nice and it had a family-feel in the staff.
We loved the beach. A lot of fish and coral outside to watch. And when it was high tide the beach was wonderful with sand as far out as we could touch it.
We loved that it was placed so lonely between the jungle and the beach with no other hotels near by. The price in the restaurant was reasonable and we pul all food and drink on our room and payed when we left.
There were balls and other beach things to borrow and use. And in the afternoon when there was low tide and shadow on the beach some in the staff arranged a football game.
I would say that this hotel is very suitable for families with a bit older children who can swim, or are ok with that it is deep water.
You should also be aware of that you need to take a boat to reach this resort, and it is not included in the fee but they have a good boat service (at low tide they can’t go all the way to the beach because of stones and corals, so be aware that you might get wet then - but they carry your luggage to land).
And that it is located close to nature. If you want to party in town this is not for you.
Choose bungalow with care. We booked for four persons but got a room with only a double and a single bed. We liked the room so we kept it, and slept 3 in the double bed.

This place is a DREAM. The room was spotless and cleaned daily, the coffee/smoothies/food delicious and fast service. Staff was friendly. Beach was gorgeous. We used the boat taxi once, then took the trail to the main pier. Wish we could have stayed longer

Overall we loved the traditional thai style accomodations and quiet setting. It was inconvienent to get to by longboat taxi and got expensive every day. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned daily amd the best was comfortable for us. Not too firm as it is in many other hotels we have stayed at.

It was hot in my room, there was an AC but it was turned off, i had a fan instead.
I had a lock for the door, a model i've never seen before, which was very challenging to unlock and when asked for help, the staff seemed upset, so i left the room open and didn't want to bother anymore. I was surprised to notice there was no fridge as well.
I also have the feeling that because im a solo traveller, i had a less pleasant experience, families and couples were greeted and treated in a better way than they did with me. The staff was annoyed whenever i had a request or question.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing, various, clean and tasty with an absolutely breathtaking view. I was able to hike to the viewpoint as well, where there was none except me for a terrific view over phi phi bay
I would rate this resort a 2.5/5, for the price paid, i was expecting more. The location is awesome, i think they could've include the round boat trip to phi phi pier instead of making me pay each time, as for others they didn't have to.

Very small room to be a bungalow. Balcony sea-view completely blocked by a giant tree. You can’t sit at balcony due to mosquitoes.
No proper pressure in the shower.
Small sized bed for a 6ft1in guy like me and on top of that no AC in the room.
Very good and helpful staff. Restaurant is decently priced given the location of the property.

Great staff, lovely!.except the “ tourist guide “ that explains the morning routines of your fault full day tour. The facility it should not n be qualified as resort but a hotel.
Property needs a lot of improvement, on the exterior and on the interior of the rooms. And they need to put “ No swimming signs” on areas where they know is dangerous for us tourists. I did swim next to the are and got stuck in a bunch of sea urchins and I was bad for 2 nights 3 days, once I got back to the city I had to go to hospital, doctor said , spines should be removed immediately but staff just put oil on it. Please be careful.

I recommend this resort only if you do not plan on going anywhere else in Phi Phi, otherwise it is super inconvenient. I did not realize the boat that takes you to the resort only goes until 5:30PM, so we didn’t get to see Phi Phi at night. The only things to do in the resort are eat and drink. You cannot really get into the water because the shoreline is extremely rocky and you will be stepping on jagged rock as you're in the water. There’s also a ton of sea urchin. The people of Thailand are extremely friendly, but the staff here seemed to be different. They were not very helpful when we had a few questions and they just seemed inconvenienced by tourists on the resort. While it had beautiful views, I would have chosen a different place to stay if I knew what I know now.

Beautiful place with amazing staff
We spent six nights at Phi Phi Relax resort. We were a bit unlucky with the weather most of the days, with rain, strong winds and lots of clouds, which we were told was very unusual. I also had a very bad stomach for one and a half day, but the staff was so nice and helpful, both to my husband, who had to eat his meals alone, and to me bringing medicine and rice soup and being very caring Thank you, Laura, and all the rest of you.
Be aware, that when you arrive on the longtail boat, you will get wet, when you get off, as there is no pier. So shorts are recommended. Also, it is good to bring some bathing shoes, as there are quite a few rocks in the water. When the water is clear, you will see them (and a lot of fish), but on windy days, bathing shoes are nice to have.
The beach is beautiful, and as you can only get to this resort by boat or about one hours walk, it is very quiet and nice.
We had a very nice bungalow right on the beach, with a wonderful terrasse, where we could sit/lie and read on rainy days.
The resort really lives up to its name - it is a great place for relaxation.
But the best thing about this place is the fantastic staff!
They made us feel at home, had a good sense of humor, and were always very helpful.

Transportation cost $150 thb each way to and from ferry pier with cost increasing up to $300 thb if later than 3pm local time. Ride from main tonsai pier was about 26 minutes boat ride without considering time to wait for luggages being loaded onto the boat. Expect to get wet because you will have to enter and exit boat from knee to waist high ocean water depending on the tide. Limited availability for transportation to main town area. Lots of mosquitos and no air conditioner in all 4 beach front bungalows we booked. Random electrical blackouts, occurring at least 3 times daily. Water pressure is extremely weak, similar to less than the flow of a toilet being filled up. Had many conditions regarding towels, beddings, etc., such as extra charge for cleaning if sheets and towels were extremely dirty. Pricing for food was good, such as $500 thb for a whole fried fish. Check in reception person was like a manager/sales person. Pushed speedboat and excursions/tours sales even during checkin time. Were treated as not important guests once you don't book tours or agreed to buy dinner on the beach package with reception/sales manager.
