Great hotel in a beautiful area

This hotel is situated in such a beautiful area with natural hot springs all around. There’s a trail you can walk from directly next to the hotel which takes you to a lovely waterfall. You can go for a cold plunge into the river below after using the sauna. The hot tubs were lovely and relaxing with great views. Food was really good and the rooms were very comfy, would love to come back!

Fabulous hotel

Absolutely loved our stay. 3rd visit to Iceland and our favourite hotel so far. You can take a dip in the river by the hotel, lounge in the hot tubs,go for lovely walks,breakfast was divine, staff lovely,rooms and bathrooms modern and comfortable. Dont be put off by the exterior which is very functional.

We cannot give a high enough review of this hotel. We came for our honeymoon and wish we could come back every month. This place is so scenic and beautiful but is also close to town, restaurants, and activities. We loved it so much and encourage everyone in the area to check them out. Our experience was luxurious and delightful. The staff were so kind and helpful they made sure we had everything we needed. Dinner at Varma was a special experience. We loved having a visit from Pumba, the sweetest host cat. Brunch was also excellent with many delicious offerings. We enjoyed making our own waffles.

Fantastic stay under the northern lights

Could not recommend this place highly enough. The check in was quick and the front desk attendant walked me to my room. The rooms all had a view of the river that runs behind the hotel and the mountain that overlooks it. Dinner at the restaurant was great. And the outdoor hot tub was a great place to relax and enjoy the northern lights
