Clean room with a good bed and OK bathroom. Ventilation was bad. Needed to keep window open to get air, but then you also get noise (traffic + and people talking outside). Breakfast was OK but expensive with regards to what you get. Reception was closed most of the time which was not great. Location was fine and parking option was good. Also had elctrical car charging options (3 chargers).

Charming hotel, questionable cleaner

Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast good. Bathroom had a lot of black mould, but cleanliness was otherwise good. Clearly an older building, but that adds to the charm. The cleaner kept trying to come into my room in the morning — including opening my door wide — despite my repeated indications that I was naked, and that she could come back at 11.

cheap good location with strange people at night

Positive: - great location walking distance to a shopping street - free parking space in the backyard of the hotel - breakfast included + cheap when compared with other hotels (they serve booze with the breakfast - gammel dansk) Negative: - disgusting bathroom (old and filthy - you do not want to touch anything) - hot in the room - no A/C - you need to sleep with an open wondow - BUT (!) then you hear every car and scooter that drives by on the cobbelstone road, and you hear all the drunks walking and screaming in downtown. You also inhale the cigarette smoke from outside (!) - not very clean in general - at night I saw a half-naked lady on the corridor followed by a man walking 20 feet behind her up to the room. Another lady was sitting and waiting downstairs at the closed reception (!) - she went in and out - smoked outside the hotel - all the smoke was going up to the room (!) - awful experience! You get scared to go out. - there should be someone in the reception all night long to prevent such situations - sleepless night If you do not care about the surroundings and noises - go for it. It is a good price. But if you want to have a quiet undisturbed goodnight sleep - go somewhere else.

Hotel Phønix is a simple old hotel. No elevator, the floor squeaks and the breakfast is basic. But all in all quite nice, don’t expect the grand experience, the hotel isn’ttrying to be anything else than it is. I do recommend for a short stay if you don’t plan to use the hotel as special part of your vacation.

Bygningen var helt fantastisk og placeringen var god. Personalet var søde og hjælpsomme. Værelset var meget varmt uden mulighed for at få det køligere. Der var ingen air-condition eller som minimum en blæser i loftet, der kunne udskifte luften. Værelset var ikke særlig flot vedligeholdt, hvilket var ærgerligt. Der var en del larm om aftenen ude foran hoveddøren til hotellet. Det er nemlig samlingsstedet for folk, der skulle ryge. Området var uheldigvis under vinduerne til vores værelse, hvilket lidt ødelagde vores nattesøvn. Det ville have været rart at vide, at morgenmaden ikke var inkluderet i prisen. Det fandt vi først ud af, da vi checkede ud.
