I am an Australian citizen, and I had a terrible experience during a recent business trip where I had to stay overnight at a hotel in London. When I arrived, I found the room unclean and in complete disarray (see attached picture).
I immediately complained about the lack of cleanliness, but the customer service representative was arrogant, threatening, and bullying, dismissing the issue as a mere mistake. When I pointed out the poor service, he began shouting at me and using abusive language. At no point did he apologize for the unacceptable state of the room or his behavior.
As we had already paid for the room and had limited time due to an evening business meeting, we had no choice but to stay there for the night.
I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel to spare themselves the unhygienic rooms and appalling customer service that we were forced to endure. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
