Unfortunately, the reception staff left much to be desired.
When booking a room for two people, I accidentally entered the details of only one guest because I was very tired at the time of booking. The staff then informed us that we had to pay an additional fee that was almost the same as the full room price for the second person.
However, I specifically checked the room rates for other dates, and the price was exactly the same whether the room was booked for one or two guests. In other words, we were booking a room, not paying separately for each person. We also deliberately booked the room without breakfast because we were leaving early in the morning.
I understand that all guests’ details should be provided during the booking process, but charging such a significant additional amount simply because the second guest’s details were accidentally not entered seems completely unreasonable in this situation.
Overall, the attitude and approach of the reception staff left a very unpleasant impression. Unfortunately, this significantly affected our overall experience of the stay.
