I found this hotel charming. Bit frayed around the edges - bathroom dated and whole place could do with a makeover. However the views, location and staff were outstanding and I would definitely go back again

Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean but our bathroom was tired and dated and lacked anywhere to put our own items. However, the hotel’s situation was stunning and worth every penny of the cost. The wonderful scenery and views as well as a great sized heated pool with immediate access to a beautiful beach meant that there was really no need to leave the hotel.

The cleaning staff for our room were very efficient, we also had a lovely swan towel arrangement in our room for our anniversary, unfortunately the hotel staff did not remember to have the bubbly waiting in our room that my husband had organised, but they brought it up promptly after my husband reminded them. Our room was a lovely size and a wonderful view from the balcony. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety and I was able to order poached eggs. The evening meal was not so good, our order came late, my potato was cold, the starters were microscopic and on the whole, not good value for the money.

The hotel room with a sea view was great. We loved sitting on our balcony watching the boats go by and going to sleep with the sound of the washes. The hotel was in an excellent location. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food in restaurant was superb.

First room was not nice asked to move paid £30 for upgrade much nicer. Breakfast and facilities very nice !! Staff generally pleasant and helpful. But manager very somber faced and stressed scary to approach when telling him restaurant food was not acceptable. Evening food very pricey compared to Rick Stein where for same price much better quality and quantity :( Breakfast lovely but don’t think I would eat here for evening meal

Perfect location right on Sandbanks beach and easy to park. Can jump on the chain ferry just outside and walk along Studland beach too. Love the outside heated pool. We stayed in a budget double room which is great value. The room was clean and comfortable it just didn't have a view which was fine. We had dinner at the hotel in the evening which was very disappointing as the menu was nothing like what we had seen online. Breakfast was ok although items ran out fast and were not replaced very quickly.

We had such a lovely stay at the Haven Hotel. The location is stunning & you feel like you could be anywhere in the world. The room we stayed in had an amazing view, a comfy bed & a big bathroom. The only slight negative if we had to find one would be that the shower wasn’t very powerful. The outdoor pool was great & everywhere was very clean. It was great to have easy parking onsite. The hotel breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of choice & all members of staff we had contact with were very polite, friendly & couldn’t do enough to help make our stay wonderful. The Haven Hotel is very peaceful as long as you don’t mind the sounds of the sea & the chain link ferry soothing you to sleep. The stunning views extended to the bar area & the restaurant. We will definitely be back - thank you for a brilliant stay!

The Haven is in a wonderful position at the entrance to to Poole Harbour. Staff are welcoming and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the whole hotel is clean. Did not eat there this trip but only because the are some many restaurants to try locally in and around Poole.

We have been to the Haven Hotel Sandbanks twice before. We love the views, the beach. The Hotel and staff. Very friendly, helpful, polite and welcoming. The breakfast had lots of fresh food choices. We loved looking out to sea whilst having a leisurely coffee. We ate in the restaurant for lunch once, Paninis and Sourdough sandwiches with coleslaw and crisps, very filling and delicious. We ate in the restaurant for dinner twice, the staff were very attentive. Perfect food! Great wine. We stayed Monday to Friday. Our room had a sea view, beautiful. Just one niggle, the shower tube was damaged and hardly any water came out making showering difficult. Water pressure not good. Although we have never had a problem before in other rooms. There is so much to do in Sandbanks, Poole, Shell bay and Brownsea Island. Including the pools, and leisure facilities. Staff and life guards were friendly and helpful too. The room was cleaned and beds made every day, thank you. The bar staff were friendly too. We had the best holiday, we hope to be back, thank you.

The location of the hotel is suburb. The hotel is lovely but does need an update, ie. a lick of paint etc. The room was nice and clean, the bar area and restaurant were lovely, breakfast was nice and fresh and the views from the terrace were amazing. Overall we had a wonderful 3 day break! Would definitely come back!!

Evening meal was excellent. The staff have all been very helpful nothing to much trouble. In fact we throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend a stay there

The reception team were so friendly and helpful, so lovely. The outdoor pool was really hot and clean with plenty of space The bar area was great with beautiful views over the sea although there was a problem with the draught beers when we stayed and the staff didn’t seem very helpful or well trained The room was comfortable but a little dated

The location is lovely, access to the pool and the beach which felt private made our stay very special, we almost felt like we were in South France as the weather and the sea were very pleasant and very warm for the UK. A couple of things I would certainly improve, the room was a little tired , sofa bed in the room was stained and dirty, windows could not be opened fully so it was stuffy and hot even with the fan on. The pool is only open till 6pm, showers close even earlier, and the staff start reminding to all guests about that from 5pm, we felt rushed. The pool should be open till 7 or 8, it would be nice to have the pool bar open too. I must mention we were very surprised by the price of the basic drink like simple black coffee, it was £6 while the more complicated coffee with milk costed £12, that is extremely unreasonable, considering alcohol drinks were cheaper than that. I believe pricing should be reconsidered to reasonable level. Otherwise the staff were helpful and pleasant. We hope to be back one day.

Room had frosted windows to hide the view into the central area and dirty flaking exterior paint etc EV chargers very expensive. Breakfast staff not much attention to detail, not keeping things topped up etc. Glass bins emptied early in the morning (contrary to hotels own policies) which was very noisy. Hot tub and pool area were nice though.

8/10 Very good

The location was very good for a quiet break & watching the chair ferry and other boats from the restaurant was interesting. The very small lift was not very reliable for those who needed it & took a number of goes to get it to work when leaving with our cases. The ‘courtyard’ view from our room was into the inner part of the hotel & was quite noisy when bottles were being disposed of. There was a limited menu in the restaurant which was the same all week. We only managed to find a couple of nearby places to eat, neither of which were within comfortable walking distance. The hotel itself is clean & comfortable & the staff were friendly.
