Give this a try
amazing property situated in the wilderness and the most amazing part was the staff they serve really hot food every time we wanted and we could decide the menu stay was very comfortable nice and clean.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grassroots - the tent was much more than a tent and a haven of luxury, very good food (and included a short cooking lesson one evening), and our day of activities was well organised and tailored to what we were after. Highly recommended.

Tucked away in beauty and comfort
An exotic getaway. The best of natural and man-made comforts have thoughtfully been clubbed together to make this place as beautiful as it is.
The absolute serenity of the place is only matched by the extreme hospitality of the staff. Very helpful and very caring members!

Relaxed and unique
Adi is a very relaxed host which reflects the feeling of the resort as a whole. The staff are friendly and work hard to make your stay pleasant. The walk through the tea plantations and across the rickety bridge was a highlight.

Luxury and hospitality at their best
We were two of us and stayed at Grassroots for 2 nights & 3 days between 17th to 19th June. Booking experience was brilliant. I booked through a third party website where the second day though the resort was closed, was showing to be unblocked after which I got a call from White Sky asking if I could change my reservation for a day earlier. But I could not do that and within a short while got a call from their end telling me that the resort will remain open for us on the 18th. Cheers to the host, Mr. Aditya for that.
Coming to the trip, we reached the resort for lunch at 2.30. We headed straight for lunch since we were starving. The food was delicious complete with a desert. Having a common dining room enables us to interact with the other guests (lot of foreigners also). After lunch we left to our tent after meeting Mr. Aditya. The tent is extremely luxurious, and cozy. The furniture adds to the luxurious interior and the lighting is perfect. The refrigerator and kettle provided in the room added to the convenience. I have to mention that the AC was extremely silent and the bathroom was simply amazing, it was the best bathroom we've ever set foot in any resort/hotel. The weather was really good and the rain splattering over the tent added on to the wonderful tent experience. One more important thing is the uninterrupted power supply even though there were frequent power cuts, the generator was in fact kept running for almost the entire night on the second day.
Dinner began with a couple of drinks below a slight drizzle beside the hammocks where they served starters. We were again greeted by Mr. Aditya who helped us with our plan for the next day. He even gave me very good advice on off-road trips / SUVs.
Now for some tips - If you want to have alcohol, you'll have to inform before hand to Mr. Aditya, because in Kerala you get them only at Govt. Owned MRP stores, or else you have to pick them up yourself. Make sure you carry mosquito repellant creams, the management will provide mosquito coils though.
The following day, after visiting some attractions, we reached very late ( around 4pm) for lunch, but the crew were well informed by Mr. Aditya that we would reach late for lunch.
One last thing is that we were running short of liquid cash by a few hundreds. So on the evening before checking out I asked the cook to open the gate so that I could withdraw some cash, for which he replied to not worry and that I can take one of the workers to the ATM the next day, pay the deficit and leave. Dinner was magnificent as well. The breakfast though complimentary is elaborate and filling. On checkout we were told that the money I was running short of was considered complementary by Mr. Aditya. I thank him a lot for this.
All in all I never imagined that staying in a tent would ever have been this luxurious, and the hospitality was amazing by Mr. Aditya and his crew.
Many people have expressed that the food is expensive, but when you total your expenses, you will actually realize that the entire experience is well worth the expense. We will surely go to Grassroots the next time we are at Wayanad.

Grass roots is a nice get away place for people who are bored with the usual hotel /resort setup. As the name suggests it has a very simple concept of comfort... the Tents gives you an altogether different experience for your stay & it is best of both worlds on one hand you get to live in a spacious Tent & the same time it has all the creature comforts ( AC , TV, Spacious bathroom) The best part of this place is the early morning Tea in a Porch overlooking a scenic Tea estate. Now coming to the flipside. Food is too expensive & the bad part is that even Vegetarians have to shell out the same amount of money. Too much of foliage around the Tent area, some trimming would make it look more spacious. This place is not advisable for families with kids, as there is no open space or gaming facility or pool. But overall i would recommend this place for couples who just want to spend some quality time & just laze around

Unwind at another home of yours :)
Grassroots offers one of the finest experiences if you are looking for a break from your daily lives. They will welcome you warmly... Offer you a hearty meal... Make you comfortable... Talk to you nicely (about things that you are interested in) and all this without being intrusive.. Without going over the top. One is to understand hospitality and it's another to show hospitality. These guys understand hospitality
And that's the reason you feel so so comfortable. Specifics: the view is brilliant, a little away from main town of kalpetta but that was a good thing for us. Aditya, the managing partner, is a great guy to have around, taking interest in guests personally. The food is not the hallmark of this place(unless Aditya takes charge himself ;)); the experience of dining is definitely outstanding.. Chatting with other guests as people have their meals together on a huge dining table. The tents are spacious.. Bathrooms are huge... Just be a little careful of the fauna that you may have for company- part of the jungle experience but nothing serious. It's difficult to regret a stay there.

Good Stay
Lovely place to chill out. Could sit on that porch for days. The "Tent" was great, very comfortable and all the luxuries of a modern hotel. The food was good too though they could have asked us what we wanted as there seems to be a lot wasted (as with many places to be fair). We felt well looked after all round. The location was good in some ways in that you an wander straight into the plantations and there's treking quite near. Only real downside is that it's quite a long way from the sanctuary if you wanted to do a safari.

Wonderful stay in the woods.
During my 4 day visit in Kerela, I stayed in multiple hotels. This is the best of the lot. The room was in the shape of a tent. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The AC, the small refrigerator, the bathroom, the small table, the TV and the 2 easy chairs outside in the balcony were adding to the comfort. Very nice gateaway, nice staffs, the owner is very young and cool. The food served as awesome. The whole place is designed very artistically. The owner says 'This is my hobby and I am not doing it for money' and he really mean it. Recommended for all group of travellers. Would definitely visit again whenever I am in wayanad.

Just few disappointments
Will keep it short so here it goes:
Great weather, nice view, awesome cottages with spacious room and toilet.
Few thing could have made the stay memorable and recomdable are
1. In a limited menu, they can ask in advance for few choices as it was hard to digest a potato soup with french fries with pasta in white sauce.
2. An extra bed made up of 3 cushions joined together costed 2.5k when the room for a couple is 3.5k per night. Who charges for more than half of a room when u r not getting another room for an extra person. the extra person was not even able to use the cushion-joined bedding at the floor.
Rest am not going there again, still could be recomended for someone not been here.
