It would have been nice to know that the catering team were on holiday, thus no ‘in house’ meals. The communal carpets in the residential area are showing signs of age. Rooms clean and tidy as is the bar area.

The place is worn , but the beds are comfortable and clean. If it is within the budget that you want to spend, then it’s a decent place to rest your head. We arrived with lots of luggage. It would’ve been nice if the staff had asked if we needed help with a few bags when taking us upstairs to our room. Overall they were very nice. It’s just that it’s more a pub than an inn.

I took a single room - the bed was comfortable and the room size was enough for an overnight stay. The bathroom: the shower was excellent - could have had a shower gel dispenser secured to the wall. The detailing of the sealant areas needed more cleaning. The toilet seat had a broken hinge - needs repairing. Otherwise very serviceable. Tea and coffee making was great with real coffee bags and Twinning Teas. Carpeting in the hallways is tired/worn and needs cleaning or renewing and also maybe the bedroom. Overall I would return as it's local enough to my craft course. Thanks for the welcome and stay

Good value rooms with 2-3 real ale choices and a meal of the day with a pint offer that is excellent value for money. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Restricted parking on main road outside but unrestricted parking on side street if you can find a space. Very friendly staff. Ideal for contractors or tourists.

This hotel represents value for money and the quality of the food was very good. They have daily food offers buy one get one free or pie and a pint at a special price. Breakfast wad superb and very satisfying. Would go again next time we need to be in the south-west.

Really impressed, especially for the price! Despite being above a pub, which I think had live music on the night I stayed, the room was one of the quietest I've stayed in. Had a great comfortable night's sleep. The cooked to order breakfast was very good as well. Very happy, will definitely stay here again.

This is a local pub with rooms. Was not busy in bar at anytime during our stay. Rooms were a little basic but comfortable. A cooked to order breakfast was included and was well presented and tasty. Staff/management were very accommodating service with a smile.

Amazing place food is outstanding and unbelievably priced, would highly recommend going just for the food , rooms are really nice and new tvs , only thing i would say is maybe get a firmer mattress on the single beds in the twin room. But other than the mattress i will definitely be staying again.

Great little pub with rooms. Real value for money.

Had upgrade which was nice to have a king size bed to sleep in, shower was hot & breakfast plentiful. Would use this again when in area. Only disappointment was no food served Mondays so had to go look but had some other pubs & Indian restaurant close.
